Braves vs Reds

For the A

Recommended Posts

Matzek's ERA since the ASG is 0.00. Thats over 11 games. Only 2 hits allowed.

Smyly has a 3.09 ERA over his last 11 starts where the team is 10-1.

Since July 1, the Braves bullpen overall is #2 in the NL and #6 in MLB.

What a change and the Braves are suddenly looking at being in first place possibly tonight.

Oh I get it.

I think it's compounded by the fact that he came up in a lot of critical situations and wasn't able to do anything.

Absolutely. Its fair to say and should be pointed out that he helped stabilize the staff when Contreras was completely overwhelmed.

While I'm grateful to get the W last night, when the heck is Snitker gonna learn his lesson on Will Smith and move him out of the Closer role!   For God's sakes, how much more does he need to see?   Put Rodriguez in as closer and do it now!   Can't understand why he is being so thick headed about it.

Some of you are too harsh on Smith.

He has stuggled alot at the plate since the first week that he has been here but he has done a great job with the staff and they all seem to love him.

No, the pitchers love him, I just hate watching the guy hit.

I saw a stat where the Braves Catchers have a wRC+ of 5 and Braves pitchers have a wRC+ of 29.

Braves pitchers are nearly 6x better at the plate.

Which makes no sense cause he's absolutely pathetic at framing and costs our pitches so many strikes.

Thats what happens when you through 7 guys. We've used d'Arnaud,  Contreras,  Jackson, Vogt, Lucroy, Mathis and Smith. That doesn't even count signing Flowers to see if his back could handle it.
