Muller has been a little wild the last 2 outings. Remember last time he was missing by a lot. Might see Anderson replace him next time through. Let Muller take a breather and get back in line.

I think Muller needs much more than a break. I can't imagine him near the rotation when Anderson and Ynoa are back, which should be soon...thank heavens.

I wouldn't say that. He came in with a 2.88 ERA. Hes been pretty good except the last couple of starts.

Yes, but he's young with only a few starts under his belt. Younger players are also trying to establish their confidence. It seems as though his confidence is taking a little beating. Get him out of the rotation and let his confidence develop along with honing his skills and work him back in.

He has been good. Fortunately we have enough pitchers to where he can go back to AAA and work on some things. I'm not opposed to that.

Do you think it would beneficial if he went to the BP the rest of the year. Maybe take Tomlin’s spot. The Braves could keep Tomlin as a coach to help in the bullpen. If I remember correctly Tomlin helped Minter out some and to an extent Wright last year.

Braves are sending Muller to AAA. Ynoa is expected to take his spot. Snitker announced Muller being optioned but waiting to name a corresponding move. Ynoa isn't needed till Tuesday. Probably call up a bullpen arm for a few days.

Anderson still needs more rehab time to stretch out his arm again. So he's not in consideration.

Could be. I say keep him starting. That’s his role in the league I think. He’s got potential, but he’s just younger

I know a lot of things have changed in Minor League Ball, but is that a new Braves affiliate?

Yes, as part of the minor league shuffle the Braves snagged the Augusta GreenJackets as their Low-A affiliate. They were with the Giants organization. Rome was bumped up to High-A. The previous team High-A team, Florida FireFrogs, was dumped and ceased operations.

That's awesome, I would prefer all of the Braves farm teams stay in state.  I wish Brunswick could support a minor league team, preferably the AA squad since work in Brunswick and commute from Jacksonville...

Woodstock, GA tried for the AA team before they picked Jackson, MS way back when. They just signed a new 10 year deal in Jackson back in February so its not changing anytime soon.

How does the affiliation selection process work?  It's honestly a mystery for me.

Its just stadium deals and facilities like the pro level. You find a team and sign a contract. Most of minor-league league teams are independently owned. Most teams try to keep the teams close. The new restructuring emphasized AAA teams being a lot closer to their parent team to draw more fans. The Braves were just ahead of the curve with their AAA team being in the Atlanta metro already. The Braves are rare in that they've made it a point to own most of their teams. They own all their minor league teams except Augusta.
