For the A

The best thing about what AA was able to do was he gave up basically nothing to get these guys. Pretty amazing.

Yup.

I mean he got Duvall for a a guy hitting less than .100 and was not part of the braves future at his position.

He got Rosario who has not debut yet for a guy who also was hitting less than .100 since may....who was promptly released

Soler was got for a kid who is at A ball if I am correct.

I mean the only real asset given up was Wilson.....and he was flipped for one of the best relievers in the NL.

Overall just a masterful job.

In all seriousness.....how can you you not be excited about the Braves? Yeah they are in third place and yeah they just got to over .500 but........

The bullpen has been solid for a month now  and is going to get a boost with Ynoa and one of the starters joining it

The offense is finally long and deep again with 2 more guys coming who will add something at catcher and on the bench /platoon situation.

They gotta keep up what they are doing but they have played some good baseball for a while now....they just gotta keep up the consistency.

Imagine if the Braves could some how snag him and have him and Acuna in the same outfield for a decade.

That would be insane. I'm pretty certain he'll hit the market. His agent and Scott Boras and we know Boras never likes his guys to sign without hearing from other teams. Nats have until 2025 to show him they can compete.

Say they show they can compete. Will they be willing to pay him is the question. I see him getting traded the winter before his final year.

Theyll try but they won't go all in. Like with Harper. The Nats made competitive offers but wouldn't beat any offer that came through just to keep him. They offered Harper $300M with $100M deferred. It was 10 years at $20M and then he would get $10M a year over the following 10 years to make it $300M. Harper went with the all upfront money in Philly plus an extra $30M. Recent Nats philosophy has been invest in pitching, see Strasburg's $245M and letting Rendon walk. That hasn't worked at all though.

What's the control on all of those guys we just picked up recently?  I know we're still in 2021, but 2022 is sounding even better if our guys all heal up plus what we've picked up.

I think Duval and Pederson have  options but Soler and Rosario are FA's

I think Solar would have fit perfectly in the DH role if the NL expands to the universal DH

Soler is a FA after the season, Rodriguez is here through 2024, Joc and Duvall both have a mutual option for 2022 so both sides will have to trigger the option for them to stay.
