The consistency at which they maintain this is depressingly impressive. 🧐 The Braves never cease to amaze. Such a disappointment. If this isn’t an indictment of Brian Snitker nothing is. Can’t win 2 games in a row. Can’t get above .500. Can’t even get to .500 anymore. Born Again Georgian

I also think that will win our division. TheTrue7

It’s true he goes on runs where he loses his way and does nothing but strike out. I really like the guy but he’s streaky

Yeah...Dansby had a fantastic July a .298 average with a cool .944 ops. Those numbers got bumped up a little bit the last few games of July but even before that he was still hitting around .280 with an .800 ops ... That is a whole month's worth of stats and not just a couple games. TheTrue7

falconsd56
The thing with Dansby is that he has extremes. He has played 4 months this season.... Two of the months are All-Star caliber... near .300 average with .850ish ops with plenty of power and RBI's....plus fantastic defense. The other 2...the exact opposite. Low average...lots of strike outs....not taking walks..... replacement level player. He needs to find a way to have a happy medium between those two. Unknøwn
Dansby is frustrating because of those extremes. We all see what he can be, hes a really good hitter when hes on. Hes a really bad hitter when hes cold. He just has to find that consistency. falconsd56 and AUTiger7222

Dansby's at his best when he uses the RF gap. But he gets extremely pull/homerun happy and it leads to a crap ton of strikeouts and cold streaks. I've said it time and time again, I'd gladly rather see Dansby sacrifice a few homeruns at the expense of raising his average 30-40 points. Dansby doesn't have to hit .300 but there's absolutely no reason he shouldn't hit .270-.275. Give me a .275 average with 15 homeruns over a .230 average with 25 homeruns any day. Swanson never seems home-run happy. He struggles when he tries to hit good breaking balls instead of taking them. He's better when he keeps it simple and hunts fastballs. When he doesn't he gets late on the fastball and he's not good enough to hit good offspeed.
