Atleast he’s going to get more reps in training camp I suppose then.

Apparently he had been playing mostly at RT. Andrews got a lot of LG reps.

Since it’s a one year contract and can’t we come to injury settlement and cut him ?

I think he still gets the money either way unless the injury occurred outside of team facilities (which doesn’t seem like the case). If there’s no money to be saved it’s best to just keep him on IR all year and hope he nets us a comp pick.

We are actually pretty lucky.  It's our glaring lack of depth traditionally that made any of our injuries look catastrophic.

Niners as someone mentioned as well.

But yea you nailed it, our depth has been awful.

The curse of Julio begins.

had to add him to the thread. I believe that’s a 2021 requirement for the forum.

Or is it a continuation of a Quinn curse that included Julio's request to be traded and a salary cap handicap?

So what happened to Gono?  I haven't even seen him in all of the videos and pictures they posted during OTAs and such.

I guess it would explain some things but who can be our left tackle if Jake was to go down?

So someone previously asked this, and I don't know the answer. If a player gets injured before the season, does his money go back into the cap, or does it still count against it?

It still counts. Unfortunately there’s no cap relief.
