tl;dr
Cristian Pache has had a good 6 games in Gwinnet (albiet only 23 ABs, but encouraging) .348/.348/.739 with an OPS of 1.087. Struck out 7 times in those ABs, but that's an improvement from where he was in the majors. Baby steps

Hes been known to get too long in his swing for most of his career. falconsd56

jidady
Demeritte is still just 26. Somebody needs to give him a bigger chance than he had with Detroit.

He was given nearly 200 PA in 2019 with them and only hit .225/.286/.343 (.630). 200 PA in a season is a decent sample size. He also wasn't very good defensively in RF for them. There aren't a lot of players prepared for that sort of failure. I believe in Demeritte's bat.

Still got out with 3 innings and just a solo HR as he only hit allowed. Id say it was encouraging. He did hang a few curves but thats probably just shaking off the rest. We'll get a better feel tomorrow when he faces AA hitters.
K26dp
I was at that start. Very efficient, was throwing free and easy. Lost his release point starting the 2nd and hung that curve, the walked the next guy, but bounced back quickly. Only 28 pitches to get through 3 IP. K26dp
Also saw Spencer Strider in Rome on Friday. Struck out 12 in 6 IP. Allowed 1 H, 1 BB, 1 HR. Home plate umpire was awful, Strider had the guy who homered struck out twice but pitches were called balls. Completely dominating with a 96+ 4S FB that he can place over bat planes. He was interviewed by Fangrpahs, he said his breaking ball now is basically the hard slider/curve that Luke Jackson throws. Made Bowling Green, possibly the best team in High-A, look like chumps. Rumor is he will make his next start in Mississippi. jidady

tl;dr
Waters has struggled this year, but I still think he's going to get it figured out. He's been too good pretty much everywhere else for this to stay forever.

Unknøwn
I'm becoming concerned that Pache will just never hit enough to be a capable big leaguer. Hes currently hitting .214 with a .632 OPS at AAA. Thay covers nearly a month of games now.
