Lol matt ryan sacked 40 times, defense sucks, run game sucks.  Yet drafting a shiny toy will lead us to superbowl.  Because we will out gun the chiefs or buccs.

Coaching staff sucked. You left that out.

don't fit his agenda

And what if we can't find a reasonable trade back offer? Does drafting a rookie QB lead us to the super bowl? Or do you suppose we reach on a guy and bypass a potential generational talent? Sewell is too high a draft pick as well when we've invested so much on the Oline already, especially with Pitts and Chase on the board. So do you propose something or are you just here to complain and be a negative Nancy?

You can never ever invest too much along the OLine or Dline. They make or break your team

OL in Rd2 I'm all for. I think CB, Edge, and S are better values there, but I definitely wanna upgrade the LG position. But taking Sewell over Pitts makes no sense, especially with a BPA approach. Trade back and take Sewell, and it's a different story

if the scouts and TF think Pitts is the best player on the board you draft him and don't worry about need.

Also Lol at calling a 6'6" 250 lb man who isn't even in his full grown man body a shiny new toy.

lions cowboys love shiny new toys and look how they've done in the romo and stafford eras

You're acting like the Chiefs didn't just go to back to back Super Bowls because of their weapons, and just as importantly their playcalling

That's cuz they have patty Maholmes.  But even he can't win without line and d.

He’s gonna run to the next team once his rookie contract runs out

Falcons are pretty good at retaining star players but you are right there is no guarantee.  Falcons are like cowboys they pay big money to resign guys

So you think we should draft by need?

Instead of debating back and forth, we or someone should ask him what HE thinks the draft strategy should be...

I bet it’s something astronomically vague and dumb.

You're getting flamed for this but it's so true.

When will these guys learn. Have all the offensive weapons you want, when your trenches suck and defense overall is below average you're not making it very far.

Sure coaching changes will help but this team lacks alot of talent in some really important areas.

Taking Pitts means you're writing next year off with that trash defense.

There should be only two options at 4. QB (rebuild/retool) or trade down and go hard on defense to try and win NOW.

Well bpa is justin fields.

Well if when the number #4  comes around and Fields is there and is the BPA on 2-3 other teams list, Falcons ought to get a helluva lot of **** good trade offers.

I think Fields is going to be real good but he needs to be on a team other than the Falcons to be special. On a team with a decent defense Fields could pull an RGIII type rookie year with out the injuries.

Chiefs went back to the Superbowl for a multitude of reason. One being their ELITE QB who Matt doesn't come close to and a really solid defense which we don't have.

Our line isnt as bad as you think. We had no scheme or game planning until we played the chiefs and should have one had AJ caught that pass he dropped. Probably was our most complete gm of the year.

Can't agree with this. But the scheme was bad. That said, our OLINE wasn't very good.

A QB that sits on the bench for 2-3 years doing nothing is worth zilch. You have to have someone to trade with to trade down. And the trade has to be beneficial.
