With DQ Gone, I don't want to see this happening to any Falcons QB.

From 2018-2020:
Falcons and Lions are the only teams with losing records in the last 3 seasons when the QB threw for more than 3 TD. To put this in perspective, GB had just 2 more games with QB throwing more than 3 TD compared to Falcons. However, GB had 7 more wins than Falcons.

W-L record when the QB throws 3 TD and one or less Interceptions:

Worst of all the Falcons have Pathetic record when the QB throws less than 2 TD. Chiefs had just 6 Games less than Falcons where the QB threw  2 TD or less, however they also had 17 less losses. It just shows the cards the QB in Atlanta has been dealt with every game for winning the game.

AS better get the Run game and the defense helping out the QB.

Wonder if McVay was thinking of stats like this when they went after Stafford.

And people here actually think our issue is at QB

The old George Carin quote comes to mind: “Imagine how stupid the average person is... then realize half of them are dumber than that”.

This narrative that you are anti-Matt Ryan if you are supportive of the drafting a QB at 4 really needs to be retired....

Or you are part of Justin Fields/ Lance fan club. You want the new shiny player.

I actually lean Pitts, but I get it if they go Fields/Lance.

I have no issues with Matt Ryan, he is the best QB we've ever had and I was a hardcore Vick fan.

It's not surprising the Falcons have spent the majority of the cap on the offense.  Most teams are constructed with more balance which is why they can win games in multiple ways.

Nope. Falcons Offense and defense are usually with in 10-12%. Problem is the defense used all the draft capital with nothing to show. Falcons had a top 5 cap hit defensive line in NFL last few years, but they always ended up in the bottom of sacks.

The issue is bigger than the QB position, Dimi committed the majority of the salary cap to the offensive side of the ball and expected Quinn to turn water into wine on defensive. This is why the team was one dimensional.

Another TATF myth.

I looked at the numbers for years, it has everything to do with it.

What numbers? Falcons offense was ranked 16 in NFL for cap space and defense at 15 in 2019. Very poor return on defense in draft and FA. Falcons secondary in 2018 was one of the most expensive secondary, yet it was one of the worst. All the draft capital and Cap wasted.

It's not a straight line formula because they move money in specific years. Take a look at  2017 for example.  It should not be surprising, the majority of the best players have played on offense. Grady and Debo just got paid but prior to that  Trufant was the highest paid defensive player, while our 3rd receiver Sanu was making 8 million a season.

Mike Smith used to have more balanced rosters but that was a long time ago.
