AUTiger7222
Folty had that really good start against the Padres when he gave up only 1 run in 7 innings on only 2 hits but he's gotten rocked in his other 2 outings. 4 runs in 4 innings against the Jays and tonight the O's torched him for 5 runs in 5 innings. Gave up 2 HR in each.
AUTiger7222
Yankee fans were idiots tonight for absolutely no reason.

AUTiger7222
Just for reference, the 1998 Yankees won a then MLB record 114 games.

And now Jared Walsh hooks one around the RF foul pole for another homerun and it's 10-3 Angels!

AUTiger7222
Tatis is no Acuna!!! He got absolutely frozen on two hanging sliders and swung at the one that was nearly in the dirt.
AUTiger7222
Padres deserved to lose. They played terrible defense and handled the Dodgers a handful of runs and left a small village on base. I know it was Fernando Tatis first game back from injury but dude shoulders a lot of responsibility for this loss.

Unknøwn
I dont think the Padres are ready to tackle LA. The Dodgers are so good. Tatis also has 7 errors already. Unusually bad on defense so far this season.

AUTiger7222
It blows my mind that Oliver Perez is still pitching in the majors. Yes, the same Oliver Perez that used to mystify the crap out of the Braves. Every other team would crush him but he always turned into Cy Young against the Braves. It was the ****est thing. But back to him still being in the majors, he made his MLB debut way back in 2002 when he was only 20 years old and will be 40 years old in August. It really is true, if you throw left-handed you can pitch in the majors forever.
AUTiger7222
Dodgers beat the Padres 2-0. Mookie Betts with an amazing catch to end the game. I said during the winter that despite all the Padres big time spending and trades that they still weren't on the Dodgers level and sadly that's exactly the way this series is turning out. The Padres just are quite there yet. Maybe they will be come October, but not there yet.
Unknøwn
Jay Bruce announced his retirement this morning If you're wondering the Braves drafted Joey Devine in the 1st round that year at #27.
Unknøwn
Nats put Strasburg on the IL with shoulder inflammation. Its stirred up the Rendon or Strasburg debate and whether the Nats should have paid Rendon instead.

Regardless of how realistic that is they are off to the best start in MLB history for a defending champion. Its hard to see anyone that can take them down in October right now. That was the year the Braves were so desperate for bullpen help that they drafted Devine and by August he was in the majors. It didn't work out well. But he had a really good year or two with the A's before arm problems ended his career.
