His WHIP the last two years is like 1.07. I give him all the credit in the world turning his career around because he was a negative WAR player as a Brave. He was throwing gas so I guess the braves weren't patient enough.

With that horrific a performance, the only way he was staying was if he knew where some bodies were buried. But I'm glad he figured it out. Pretty sure in 2019 he was banged up and it threw him off. I thought he was a brilliant pick-up in 2018, he absolutely saved the team's bacon. Hes so close to the guys he might be tempted if they pay him like a manager. He's worth it. We may have a manager in waiting down at AA with Dan Meyer. He's been great developing the pitchers and was exceptional in his first stint as a manager. TheTrue7 and ATL Fan in the DMV

I was thinking Walt Weis would be manager in waiting with how long he’s been Snitkers bench coach.

It's possible. Peter Gammons was actually lobbying for the Mets to hire Weiss as manager a few days ago. He said the Mets should bring Weiss in as manager and have him bring Washington as bench coach. That I definitely don't want to see.

Unknøwn
White Sox will reportedly pick up Kimbrel's $16M option for 2022. The plan is to trade him in the winter. He was not comfortable in the setup role and pitched to a 5.00 ERA. Theyve admitted the experiment didn't work.

Seeing him end his career in ATL would be great. Smith has been pretty **** good since the beginning of September after a really rough August. And if the Braves win the WS then it would be difficult to say to him that he needs to take a back seat but having him in the 8th and Kimbrel in the 9th would be sweet.
