Falcons Fan MVP 3,942
Do you think that Dean Pees will be the best thing that's ever happened to the Atlanta Falcons defense? Will we see the defense we've always dreamed about? Why or why not?
marvinthemartian 5,417
He will have a long way to go to beat the 77 Falcons defense coordinated by Jerry Glanville rugger8, Friendly Folk, Falcons Fan MVP and 16 others 17

rugger8 1,493
He won't be here long enough to have that distinction, and he won't be able to have the best single season, either. Falcons Fan MVP
FalconBlood 2,489
Gritz Blitz defense is arguably the best defense of all time. Didn’t have an offense worth a ****, but they hold either the least points or yards against record. I’d take a top 8 defense. Mister pudding 3,306
Dude, is that really saying anything really? Look at the defenses that we've had the past 40 years. It's BAD when "bend, but don't break" is seen as a positive 408Falcon

Kyle Shanahan had the offense balling in 2 years. I'm assuming Pees will be here 2-3 years.

We just had **** for offense, so we didn't win anything, and no one remembers. lol Francis York Morgan and Falcons Fan MVP
Francis York Morgan 25,562
That's pretty lofty. But I do think he'll make this defense respectable, which is more than they've been in a long time. Falcons Fan MVP and JohnnyFranchise
Friendly Folk 1,504
1977 Falcons - 129 points allowed all season over 14 games. Best ever in NFL. No one will ever beat that. End of story, end of thread. Please close this thread. JDaveG, slick0ne and rugger8 1

GATXBOI 2,008
I'm glad that Pees came out and said he is not looking for another job and wants to work with Arthur Smith.. So I think we have our HC/DC combo for at least 3 yrs til it's time to extend contracts JohnnyFranchise and Falcons Fan MVP 1
thanat0s 5,270
We are the elephant graveyard of defensive coaches. While I hope he's the man with the Midas touch, history says he'll get sucked into the swirling vortex of entropy that is any attempt to build a great defense here. Poor guy. Em_Jae20 275
The Grits Blitz is tough to top. As ppl have said that defense was all time great, but if he sticks around at least 3 years and we win a Super Bowl his name will be fondly remember in Falcons history JohnnyFranchise and thanat0s
