AUTiger7222 7,847
This is just dumb, the Braves play the Mets 16 times in a 64-game stretch from May 17th thru July 29th. Yes, you read that right, 16 of the Braves 19 games against the Mets comes in only a 64 game stretch before August. Just another reason the unbalanced schedule sucks. AUTiger7222 7,847
The Braves schedule is so stupid. They play the Mets and Phillies only a combined 6 times in their final 58 games of the season. Those are the last 6 games of the season. So if the Braves are chasing either of those teams down the stretch they're gonna need a lot of outside help.

Unknøwn 13,609
Not sure if it was posted but a couple of days ago the Braves did sign Yolmer Sanchez to a minor league deal. So they now have Arcia and Sanchez at the alternate site. Yolmer hit .245/.300/.360 in 7 years with the White Sox. He also won a Gold Glove at 2B in 2019. He led the AL in triples in 2018 with 10. He can play 2B/3B and some SS. Basically he's a speed guy that won't hit much but he's very reliable with the glove and can pressure the defense with his speed. Camargo falls even further out of the Braves plans. tl;dr

Unknøwn 13,609
Good bullpen depth. Hes had some success in MLB. Had TJ in 2019 and then got suspended in 2020 for PED. Anthopolous really trying to bolster the depth in the first week. Two bench options and now a pen guy. TheTrue7
K26dp 5,173
Just since March, Atlanta has picked up: Chasen Bradford Mitch Horacek Ryan Casteel Jeff Mathis Yolmer Sanchez Jesse Biddle Orlando Aricia Edgar Santana They've also retained Carl Edwards Jr., Jason Kipnis, Abraham Almonte, and Phil Ervin from spring training. None of these guys may end up making a bit of difference, but it's an interesting stockpile.

I caught some flak on Twitter for pointing out Ozuna's struggles and people trying to say Ozzie was doing worse than Ozuna and I was like nope, Ozzie is hitting the ball hard but into some bad luck. Ozzie's exit velocity is much higher than his career mark. But Ozuna, Dansby and Pache are really struggling right now. tl;dr

But the 51 homeruns are both an Atlanta era record and a franchise record.

K26dp 5,173
Atlanta Braves right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. is the NL Player of the Week. Acuña hit .385/.515/.846 with 3 home runs, 10 hits, 13 runs scored, 8 RBI, 7 walks, and a stolen base. In further good Acuña news, the Braves have announced that he had an MRI and is listed as day to day with a mild abdominal strain. The Braves have not made any roster moves, and it doesn't look like they will. AUTiger7222
