Here are some of the FA safeties in 2021. Its too early to predict if they will hit the FA or will be signed back by their Teams.

Here are my preferences:

Justin Simmons (DEN):

Tied for second most interceptions in the NFL. Pretty good coverage and range for a FS. Impressive 28 stops/wins, which is what Falcons need especially on stopping opposing teams on 3rd downs.

He may not be cheap and might be looking for his last big deal at 28. Another concern is 11 Missed tackles.

Marcus Williams(NO):

Aside from MN miracle Memes he has been one of the best FS last year. I would put him just below Simmons. Very good run defender and good pass coverage and range. He had 8 stops/wins. Sure tackler and had shown good instincts past one year.

TF was part of drafting him, at 25 years of age, he can be signed for next few years and upgrade the FS.

Marcus Maye (NYJ):

He was one of the few bright spots on that NYJ team. Great pass coverage, decent run support and over achieved for a second round pick in 2017 draft. Had 27 stops/wins, Compared to 1 by Rico. He isn't well known like other two, would Pees want to grab him at a decent price? Biggest knock on him is 12 missed missed tackles.

The other FA include second tier guys like Anthony Harris, Xavier Woods, Taushan Gipson and Jalen Mills.

Harris is excellent

It's possible.

Saints have some decisions to make. Another big one will be if they indeed want Winston back to become their new starting QB. He won't be as cheap on this new deal.

I think I read that Payton said he plans on Winston and Hill being the QBs they roll with in 2021. I hope they pay him handsomely.

He is the one likely to hit FA so that’s great news.  He is a true single high so he or Simmons are my dream scenerio’s

If a safety is talented enough to play a demanding position such as single high, does that mean they will easily be able to translate to every other defensive scheme (cover 2, cover 3...etc) since they will be responsible for covering less field?

Don't Forget John Johnson... I would love Marcus Williams ... any of the 4 would be good...

Sorensen and Mills would also be good... but I really want to spend $$$$$ in the best S we can get...

Draft Surtain and either one of those S from TCU .. and we are set at the back end...

We could try to get Malik Hooker on a small deal since he’s been having injury problems

Malik Hooker would be a FA steal if only he could stay healthy.

He has yet to play a full 16 game season in his 4 year career so far though.

Maybe sign him to a 1 year prove it deal if the Falcons fail to sign Marcus Williams or Justin Simmons?

Same. I could see Pees either moving Oliver to safety and/or keeping him in the slot.

Moving Oliver to SS would be pretty smart I think.

He played very well when he moved into the slot and was one of our most sound tacklers.

What's frustrating about Marcus Maye and Marcus Williams is that I remember TATF pounding the table to draft one of those guys, yet the staff remained faithful to Ricardo Allen.

Honestly though Rico wasn't as bad as people thought before last year. This last year he sucked. Before that he wasn't bad. Could we have upgraded? Yes, but had other needs.
