You Play GM (First 3 Rounds)

Here's a scenario for you. Let's begin by saying we execute a trade back with Detroit and get the 7th pick and their 41st and 72nd pick. Since we're only doing 3 rounds of picks that's as far as I'll go, I'm sure more might be obtained from them in actuality.

For each pick we have I will give you 3 options for players that are expected to be available in that general range. You pick one. (I know in almost every instance you you probably wouldn't have the same 3 there but create your draft from these options.)

Whatever you come up with, I think, is a very good possibility in a trade back scenario.

Pick# 7 (From DET)

Micah Parsons                   (LB)

Caleb Farley                       (CB)

Rashawn Slater                  (OG/OT)

Pick# 35

Qwity Paye                         (DE)

Christian Barmore              (DT)

Mac Jones                          (QB)

Pick# 41 (From DET)

Javonte Williams                 (RB)

Pat Friermuth                       (TE)

Aaron Robinson                   (CB)

Pick# 68

Najee Harris                          (RB)

Paris Ford                               (S)

Terrance Marshall                 (WR)

Pick# 72 (From DET)

Chubba Hubbard                   (RB)

Elijah Molden                          (CB)

Quincy Roche                         (Edge)

Farley

Paye (but I don't like any of those three relative to some other options who should be there)

Friermuth

Ford (Harris won't be there, so it's not realistic to take that option)

Roche (again, not a fan of these picks)

So, I'd go corner, edge, TE (since Arthur Smith loves them), safety, edge again in this scenario.

Out of curiosity, which site's rankings did you use?

This would be mine given these options at each pick. Not sure in what world Najee will be there at 68 though.

One thing I see right now is I probably gave too many RB options and not enough LB options but be that as it may here are my picks:

1. Micah Parsons             LB

2. Christian Barmore       DT

3.Aaron Robinson            CB

4. Najee Harris                 RB

5. Quincy Roche              Edge

I'd be ecstatic for this. We'd have a hard-nosed defense, stacked backfield, and a run game:

Pick# 7 (From DET)

Caleb Farley                       (CB)

Pick# 35

Christian Barmore              (DT)

Pick# 41 (From DET)

Aaron Robinson                   (CB)

Pick# 68

Najee Harris                          (RB)

Pick# 72 (From DET)

Quincy Roche                         (Edge)

I'll play given the options available (Najee ain't gonna be there at 68 unless he tears his ACL training). I'm also concerned about some of the character issues on Parsons. If they have truth to them, he's likely off our board all together.

That said, here are my choices.

I know you didn't mean to do that. But ___________ that's so funny.

I'm not an expert on these guys, I'm just going by the lists available so if someone with better insight could put up the same scenario with more realistic options I'd be interested in seeing it.

Najee Harris at 68? I'd cream in my pantz

Yes I know. Jeremiah has him at 22 but PFF has him at 70 so I chose to go with the 70 and throw him in there as a no brainer.

Rashawn Slater                  (OG/OT)

Christian Barmore              (DT)

Javonte Williams                 (RB)

Paris Ford                               (S)

Elijah Molden                          (CB)

This would seem to check all the boxes.  Missing QB however.  Still think that is a possibility.

The first Rashawn Slater sighting...nice.

Excellent. Those are great choices. I've used the PFF simulator a lot. I also like CBS Sports, and Tankathon has a surprisingly good list.

I'll modify my answers with PFF's rankings alone:

DeVonta Smith, WR

Asante Samuel Jr., CB

Ar'Darius Washington, S (I like Andre Cisco, but I'd need to know his medicals.)

Rashad Weaver, DE

Daviyon Nixon, DT
