OFF SEASON HIGHLIGHTS:

Stafford goes to the Colts for a first and fourth round pick

Jameis Winston resigns with the Saints

Free Agency:

Cut:

Ricardo Allen

Allen Bailey

James Carpenter

 - Notable Signings:
Anthony Harris, S - We finally make FS a priority and make Harris our big offseason signing. 4 year signing.

Haason Reddick, Edge(linebacker) - Not the best career so far for Reddick but he had a nice season this year. He showed he is not a 4-3 linebacker, but more of a edge guy. He signs a three year contract.

Not much money for FA so we prioritize leadership and our secondary really needs it. Keanu Neal resigns with the team on a one year deal.

DRAFT :

Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence

Jets: Zach Wilson

Dolphins: Penei Sewell. Lions have been dealing with both the Falcons and the Dolphins. IN the end Dolphins ask for way too much and is pretty much in love with Sewell

Lions: Trade. The new regime in Detroit wants a new QB and is ready to start all over with no ties to their current players. In order to keep most of their draft picks they offer seventh overall pick along with Jeff Okudah to the Falcons for the fourth overall pick. In that way they keep the first round from the Colts and there remaining draft picks. They select Justin Fields

Bengals: Rashawn Slater

Eagles: Ja'marr Chase

Patriots: Trade: Fontenot is doing businees. New England offer 15th overall along with a second round pick(2021) and second round pick(2022). They select Trey Lance.

Panthers: Mac Jones

Broncos: Patrick Surtain III

Cowboys: Caleb Farley

49'ers: Micah Parsons

Chargers: Devonte Smith

Vikings: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

1. Kwity Paye , DE, Michigan

·         - We want to get stronger up front and get this guy in the middle of the first. Fontenot is excited about the draft so far.

2a. Najee Harris, RB, Alabama

 - Our plan is to hurt some people. Harris is not your modern rb, but he will set the tone of Arthur Smith new offense.

2b. Alijah Vera-Tucker, G, USC

·         This is not sexy but we continue to build an O line with a no ******** attitute. This completes our line

3 Alim Mcneil, DT, NC State

 - Bigger, stronger. We continue with the trenches.
4 Aiden Hutchinson, Edge, Michigan

- More pass rush. We cant have enough

5. Elijah Molden, CB, Washington

 - He will be in the rotation.

6. Braydon Johnson, WR, Oklahoma State
 -  A prospect who needs to learn at the next level. Hopefully Allen can teach him a thing or two.

STARTING LINE UP – DEFENSE - 3-4, but system will change with Pees as DC:

DE: Kwity Paye

DT: Alim McNeil

DE: Grady Jarrett

OLB: Haason Reddick

MLB: Foye Oluokun

MLB: Deion Jones

OLB: Dante Fowler

DB1: Jeff Okudah

I mean, this could work if they would be willing to throw Okudah in there. Either way we go, it's hit or miss.

I doubt we have the cap space to make those signings. I also cant see the Lions moving on from Okudah that fast.

In that spot I would have taken zaven collins. Would give us bookend 3-4 olbs with him and fowler. Two versatile guys that can do anything asked of them to build the defense around.

The draft really needs a true nt also.

Also trading down twice and only having an extra 2nd this year to show for it is not acceptable at all. Okudah included isnt realistic

Zaven Collins is nice - I think people are gonna catch on to him late and he's gonna be one of those 1st rd risers.

So Justin fields fall out of the top 10? 🤔

Inquiring minds would like to know, what do you think will happen with Alex Mack?
