To this day, I thought that was a bad choice to have Dreyfus have the biggest night when all the nights leading up to it had a serious host. 

As far as her comedy skills, she isn’t the funniest person in the world to me. She normally works best when she is working with funnier people around her as she can take a joke and go with it. 

Also, she is not hard on the eyes at all!

My friend Jimmy is full blooded native American (carries a tribal ID card) and he said that progressives are wiping away any existence of his people in their cancelling fad. If you think about it, he's right. If they remove everything that refers back to Native Americans, they remove recognition of them as a whole. 

Can't wait for progressives to say that Native American casinos need to be taxed at 70% since they don't get taxed at all. It's coming.

I would just add that the factual accuracy of the narratives don’t matter, either, and any attempt to correct false information gets tossed into the “supporting the other side” bin.

There is a strong amount of White Savior Syndrome and Fake Activism amongst liberals. They like causes such as sports team names because it's high profile and very superficial. As if not calling a team 'Redskins' or 'Indians' anymore is going to do a thing for those natives living in hopeless poverty on the Pine Ridge Reservation.

I see your point, but the term 'Redskin' is a straight up racial slur. Probably not the best example.

Yes, it is, and its great that it's gone away. But sports team names doesn't crack the top 20 for biggest issues for natives. But too often liberals deal in the superficial and think that these things actually change people's lives.

My niece put my grandfathers face in there and sent it to me. This deep fake **** is scary. I know it's fake but it's still hitting on some basic emotional responses hard.

I need to learn more about the dynamic that it sounds like you are experiencing,  (and I have certainly had as well.*)

Even when your brain knows something is a lie, there is another part of your brain that still accepts it at a very visceral level.  And that can be extremely powerful.

*A couple of years ago, I got an ad for Sidi cycling shoes the top brand in the cycling market, that had all of their best stuff deeply discounted.  I called my wife and told her I was going to get shoes for the whole family.  They were like 75% off. 

But something looked off and I did some digging around and came to the almost certain conclusion that it was a scam and passed.  

But for many months after that, whenever I saw anything that reminded me of cycling shoes, I had this emotional response of excitement that I had the sweet Sidi shoes coming at super low prices.

And that's just one example.  This happens.

The Biden Administration has nominated Deb Haaland to be Secretary of the Interior. That's not a small thing.

There's lots to complain about, but ceasing to use racial slurs seems like a goofy beef.

His point was the priorities(necessities if we're being honest) according to Native Americans, not white suburban liberals sitting cozy at home being pretend freedom fighters.

What do you think the White suburban liberals can and should do about how Native Americans are treated? 

I'm in total agreement that token causes often serves to shift attention form more pressing issues, but I'm not really seeing how the people you're talking about can change the situation other than by voting.
