Rep. Mo Brooks at the CPAC conference…

“Our choice is simple. We can surrender and submit, or we can fight back as our ancestors have done. Think for a moment about our ancestors who fought at Valley Forge. They didn't fight the British, they fought for survival. Twelve thousand Continental soldiers arrived. Five, six months later two thousand had died.

"Think about what they went through. Burying your brothers, your fathers, your sons. Ten to fifteen a day, every day for six months. That's the kind of sacrifice that we have to think about. And I ask you: are you willing to fight for America? Are you willing to fight for America? Well, the choice is simple. This is how you fight for America. This is what America needs you to do."

He's talking to a bunch of overweight middle aged people living comfortably in a cul-de-sac. They aren't about that life.

Sounds like ******** tbh. He didn't need to approve an airstrike in order to get Republican Senators on his side for the first impeachment; it was practically a given by the time the Democrats announced it that he'd have more than enough support in the Senate to not be in danger of removal.

Which isn't to say he didn't actually say it, but it's another tidbit that's great fodder for a book like this, but it probably isn't true beyond it being true that he said it to some people because it's what they'd want to hear him say.

If you plan on running or anything else remotely athletic, you'll need an ACL.

Its actually funny if you look at the history of baseball in particular where they were just rolling out vets who were completely physically ****ed up from the knees down. Theres that famous Kirk Gibson moment obviously but I was even reading about how Bill Buckner could still swing a bat but could barely move at first but wasn't about to let his manager pull him from the World Series in which the Sox were fixing to break thier curse..lol
