That’s not socialism lolwtf!!! These people are complete morons!

I firmly believe that people who incorrectly use words like  socialism and Communism should be force to spend a year under what those things really are..

People who complain about censorship should absolutely be forced live under real censorship.....maybe they will realize that simply being fact checked by facebook does not qualify as such.

I have once again found myself in a big *** chain email that I ain't saying **** on. In a separate email corporate dude ripped (in an email that they were cc'ed on) my supervisor, my district manager, and my regional manager.

Corporate dude called me at 8:05 this morning to tell me he kinda poked the hornets nest and if I thought something was different from local management to let him know and that he was going to be driving down here this Saturday to take some of my workload off of me.

At 8:10 my supervisor called me to say and I quote "That dude wrote a ******* book on you but ********* he hates everyone above you in the food chain".

So basically all day was me just doing my **** and keeping my ******* mouth shut.

i read all of this and i'm no closer to understanding what you do for a living, but it definitely sounds like you work a whole **** of a lot harder than me

The fancy name is subterranean utility engineer. Basically my company is contracted out by Geospatial firms that have large DOT projects and I have to locate the underground utilities, designate/mark them, record all the data such as what kind of utility it is, GPS coordinates, the depth, and how it would interfere with the proposed projects and then I bump that info up the chain and that info is part of the cost analysis when it comes to having to have utilities moved and redesigned for whatever project. Its why the infrastructure bill could have a huge effect on my work life if I choose to go that route.

But off and on for years and pretty much constantly here for the last several months because they have lost a lot of people on that side I've been helping on the contract side because it's where I learned the trade. Call 811 before you dig.....that's one thing we do and where I've been the last several months. But because I've been doing it for so long I just get the **** jobs all day that other techs have had issues with.

Essentially what happened yesterday was I would have designated/marked that utility where I thought it was all day everyday because active and passive electromagnetic locating told me it was there all day, ground penetrating radar said it was fairly close, and I saw signs on the surface of me being right. Thats not to corporate standards but I haven't been out of tolerance in 8 years not once.........but to corporate standards I have to dig that *********** up and put eyes on it.  I had three areas where I was going off of 50/50 electromagnetic locating, probably 35% what the gpr was saying, and obvious signs on the surface. Basically we did it corporates way and we had to dig the equivalent of three 6x4 holes in hard *** Georgia clay and I was right. I went from knocking out 20-30 jobs a day to 2. I only dig like once a month because between all the different ways I can locate something I can get you within the tolerance zone and go and troubleshoot and knock out another job. Its just interpreting data and nine times out of ten interpreting visual signs.

Corporate dude can't leave a site until everything is done to corporate standards and his entire point was if they want it done the corporate way they need to understand a job like this takes two dudes with 25+ years experience combined a minimum of 8 hours.  You can't pull 30 a day without hanging your *** on the line.

He really wants to make your work load fair and equitable.  He sees a possible problem and wants to help.  The only thing is, he probably should have asked you opinion on the matter directly.

Also for the record after two guys with 25 years experience at finding things underground spent 8 hours employing high end problem solving on that one particular gas service........we found it with a witch stick.

I have absolutely no idea how it works and you only usevit when you're desperate but I'll be ****ed if it doesn't work. I generally go with only one and I go with an over under pattern with every finger to try to eliminate the small muscles in your hand influencing anything.

I was still closer than within tolerance than corporate homie though.

I honest to God thing he just caught himself in a bad situation. He said and I quote "This dude has 100 jobs in his queue, I'm just gonna drop by this one job and watch and my plan was to take 15-20 jobs off of you and run them myself" and then **** went to **** by corporate standards which he has to uphold.

He wasn't supposed to audit me but he just saw my workload and said good God I need to help this dude.......and then it went to ****. He's salary......him working this Saturday to help me because he sees my workload............you spend 8 hours digging in Georgia clay you get to know a man. Solid dude. He doesn't have to be out here Saturday but he will be.

I’m 20 minutes in to episode one, woof.

It's like the most generic DC animated universe fair which isn't awful by any means I'm actually really nostalgic for that animation style but I wasn't feeling the hype either but then...episode one spoiler kinda..

Watching the first episode of Invincible and kinda bored and not getting the hype...untill the final 5 mins woah :o

And from there it's a pretty easy binge as most of the season is phenomenal maybe one more episode I'd not rate at least 5/5 and it's still solid

Daniel Green does a good review of it, points out some of its faults especially with episode 1

Yeah I kinda wish I hadn't said anything at all so it would be a completely blind viewing but I can honestly see alot of people tuning out without the promise of something different.

The Boys let's you know pretty early this is a critique and dark comedy. Invincible does this with a little more of a slow burn...at first
