This and running multiple plays out of the same formations, so the defense can't automatically know if it's run or pass just based on personnel. I'm not particularly knowledgeable in the intricacies of running an offense, but even I could call Dirk's plays just by seeing how they lined up and knowing his tendencies. A well practiced play, where everyone knows and executes their job, works. And it can be basic. I'm from a podunk town in Texas, and our coach always told us "sometimes all you have to do is want it enough to just beat your man".
