So Matt Ryan is the future, unless it’s Deshun Watson?

Recommended Posts

This board is hilarious. Trade back from 4 and don’t pick up a playmaking QB (fields or Wilson) because that just doesn’t make sense. Instead we should maximize our picks on defense (like that EVER works for us). Because Matt isnt the problem blah blah blah. But if Deshun Watson is there for trade, we should get rid of Matt immediately? 😂😂😂 wow.

My favorite is Matt Ryan is a washed up bum but some team is going to give up a 1st round pick to get him.

What in the world does age have to do with anything? He's a starting NFL QB. Like I said, his team blew a huge lead to the Chiefs last season. He was the starting QB. If that's the Falcons, Ryan eats

Don't you go bringing facts and logic up in here!! There ain't no place for that junk here.

All this because he was seen “wearing a falcons jacket”. This is exactly how rumors get started and not in a good way. SMH

To be fair, Watson is a proven QB, and drafting one is never a sure thing. Can see why guys around here would rather get someone proven than unproven.

How about the fact that people say Matt Ryan sucks, has a noodle arm, and is a statue but he's going to teach an athletic rookie everything he needs to know because MR is good, has a cannon arm, and is extremely athletic.

If Arthur Smith and his offense lives up to it's potential, Ryan has a few years left in him. Dirk's offense would get any QB killed with his long routes and empty sets. Dirk's offense left his OL on islands. Dirk's offense had an elementary running scheme. Smith's offense is literally the opposite of all of that. This offense is about to have some fun again.

Every player has to prove themselves. If being unproven or proven meant that much there wouldn't be a draft. By this standard Matt Ryan is more than proven so why move on period?

Good or bad, rumors are rumors. Btw, would love to bring DeShaun here... Is that a rumor?

If you can take Watson, you take him over every QB in the league not named Patrick Mahomes.

You take the proven thing over the unproven thing any day of the week

And yet teams passed him over in the draft (similar to Lamar Jackson). You have to take the risk sometimes.

On the day the Texans announced the hiring of Caserio, league sources told Schefter that Watson was not happy with the process because he "offered input on potential general manager candidates, but the Texans neither considered nor consulted with those endorsed by their franchise quarterback."

Per ESPN article. Watson, a 25 year old KID is telling the Texans who he wants as a GM!? WHAT!? Talk about millennial entitlement, wowzers! Hard pass on this kid, needs to know his role but he’s just creating more drama. Don’t want that in the locker room.

Can't blame him... especially after inexplicably trading away Hopkins, who is arguably the best receiver in football. I call that a guy with a pulse who wants to win. Give me that passion anytime...

Eh. Can't say I blame him for wanting to give input when the team keeps making bad decisions in the front office. You'd think if your young rising star QB suggests a couple GMs you'd, at the very least, interview them to keep him happy.

To be fair, the Texans hired Korn Ferry to do their search and then when their recommendation was given the Texans owner went completely rouge and hired the guy from the Patriots. Can't get mad at Watson for not being happy about his current situation, especially when the Texans owner allowed Bill O'Brien to get rid of his best weapon and numerous high picks in terrible deals that made that team truly awful. Anyone in Watson's position would be salty.
