Falcons Fan MVP 3,582
I haven't heard any reports of the Falcons wanting to interview Brian Daboll or Greg Roman. Also the Colts OC and DC never got interviewed.

Herr Doktor 4,436
Let's face it, they cast a net, and through their own networks and the contacts each has, they compiled a list and hit them. They needed to tailor the search so to speak or it would never ending in scope.
thanat0s 3,697
I couldn't care less about Roman, but I would've liked for them to at least talk to Dabol. FalconsIn2012, Falcons Fan MVP, JDaveG and 1 other

4dabirds 3,669
I say we trade Matt Ryan and Julio to the Patriots for Bill Belichick and next years 1st round pick. BB is the HC and the GM, problems solved. Falcons Fan MVP

I have to assume there's something that he's saying/doing around the league and in these interviews, because he really seems to be impressing everybody. At this point I'd be surprised if he doesn't get a HC job somewhere this offseason Knight of God

I mean the idea of having a young HC who can be with you for 2 decades is appealing ....but with that comes young coaches issues. Maybe he has a good plan in place like he has a respected DC that he plans on bringing in ...or he has a veteran staff that be plans on bringing......it has to be something like that. k-train 8,418
I think the Chargers are the only team so far to request an interview with Daboll & there is not a single team that has requested to interview Roman. It's not just the Falcons passing on those two. Falcons Fan MVP

No coach can. Not Belichick, not Shannahan and certainly not Daboll. So judging a coach from the years he had no QB is pointless
JDaveG 41,723
13 minutes ago, Knight of God said: That's why I hate the copy cat mentality This. I like guys who use stuff that works, but not all of those are created equal. Take the WCO/ZBS. I love the system, but it has its flaws. Guys who go too light on the o-line struggle to pass protect. Guys who have QBs that aren't precise in their footwork and reads struggle in that system (see Matt Ryan 2015). Guys who don't know how to use motion and formation to keep other teams off balance with their play calling (which is an art, not a science) struggle. Dirk Koetter was handed a WCO/ZBS playbook. He had no idea what to do with it. The system he prefers to run made Peyton Manning a top 5 all time NFL QB, Troy Aikman a 3-time winner and Hall of Famer, and won Kurt Warner a Super Bowl. It's part scheme. But it's more who is running the scheme. I want a guy who uses a scheme that works and is still creative and innovative with it. Like Shanny running TE deep crossers out of 13 personnel. Knight of God
