This is why if the next OC is asked to run KS's offense, we need to burn **** down. That's Kyle's offense, and only he can run it.

But college is different, Alabama has superior athletes at every level save 4 or 5 teams. No such advantage in the NFL.

We downgraded and thats the issue.

That's why we keep bringing him and Kyle Shanahan up.

Let this sink in everyone

In order to save Dan Quinn

We let go of :

Shanny and Lafelur are guys to lose sleep over. Sark not so much. Sark was average at best.

90% of this board will hate our next OC just as they did with Knapp, Malarkey,  Koetter, Shanahan 1st yr, Sark,  Koetter part 2, regardless of who’s hired. Even if it’s an OC they’re begging for now. They will turn on who ever it is.... bet the ranch on it.
Sark was never as bad as advertised.

yep, it's always the same stuff.  need to run no huddle more.  let matt call plays.  be more creative, yada yada yada

... and now, its time for an Atlanta Falcons football team history lesson:

2018 Falcons offense under Sark

Ranked 6 overall- 10th in scoring- 10th in first downs- 4th in passing yards- 3rd in passing TDs- 4th in scoring percentage- 3rd in plays per drive, 4th in points per drive

The offense improved from 22.1 points per game in 2017 to 25.9 points per game in 2018.

Sark got FIRED

This has been a history lesson of the Atlanta Falcons football team.  Embrace the Suck.

Firing Sark and Manuel was the beginning of the end for Dan Quinn.

Facts.  Hard to argue with numbers.  People tend to want to believe narratives instead of being objective and analyzing the data for themselves.

And, we ended 2018 without a run game but managed to be 11th in RZ TD % and 4th in 3rd Down %.

Imagine if they just merely addressed the OL like they knew was needed and got better options than just hoping healthy Free would bounce back.

Just come off a Super Bowl loss we should have won. No way any team releases the HC at that point to promote the OC. However if we really wanted to run Shanahan’s offence and have as seemless a transition as possible under the new OC then Matt LaFleur should have been hired. That was probably Quinn’s big mistake

Ask Nick Saban!

Biggest mistake at Miami with Saban was signing Daunte Culpepper instead of Drew Brees. It’s not like he was gawd awful - he went 7-9 his first year and 6-10 the following year. He was wary of the Brees shoulder injury and didn’t want to sign him. Chances are had he signed Brees he might still be there. It would’ve been better for us and the Dolphins.

Was it Nick that didn’t want him or the higher ups?

We always knew he was a talented coach

You and a few others maybe but most on this board called him trash just like all the other OCs before him and after. Don’t look for that to change in the future. Most of those always complaining about the OC probably couldn’t line up a legal formation on offense to run a QB sneak. Not all but a good majority. There’s a handful here probably even some former NFL college players, coaches, others who do a great job with chalk talk but most are NFL Madden wannabes that could do nothing other than complain. But everybody is entitled to their own opinion.  The quality of  QB OL RB WR plus chemistry will always determine part of the outcome as well.

He wanted Brees. FO went with Culpepper. That's one of the reasons Saban left, if not the main reason.
