ryanadonis
HE IS NOT A GUARD!! Yet he looks incredibly natural at LG and our staff has to play mind games with our young talent. Got to love it!

He was drafted as a center in the 3rd round and Mack is an UFA who probably won't be returning. This is called natural progression. He's doing exactly what he was brought to Atlanta to do. I remember watching Hennessey live at Cowboys Stadium and when he was in at LG, they were scoring. After scoring 2 or 3 TDs with him at LG, he was benched the whole game. Lornoth
Mack was my favourite center long before he came to the Falcons, but I wouldn't mind giving Henn some actual reps at the position he'll be playing. Or you know, they wanted to get him game time experience while playing next to one of the best centers of all time. A position that he was being groomed to take over. Why wouldn’t you place him next to him and let him learn directly from Mack until it’s his time to take over. Seems kind of intelligent if you asked me. That is with a running game that has broken no runs of over 40 yards/Julio missing half the games/Ridley missing games and playing hurt. But yeah Matt needs all the help to win and its his fault and his alone we are losing. This narrative is not only outdated and inaccurate its getting boring. At least come up,with some data or facts instead of piling onto a bandwagon. Bring up the stretch his completion percentage was bad or the turnovers. We can debate those things but the whole 1st round picks argument is lazy. It also makes no sense as far more first rounders bust then become stars and shows you dont actually analyze stats only your feelings on how football works. We didn't win SB must change QB. That isn't how it works. rounz, celtiksage, Herr Doktor and 3 others 2

red falcon
I hope he does better than he did at guard. If he is forced to win one on one he will be in trouble in a power scheme. He is set up to fail this year anyway. ATLskinjob

All of our OLine is in trouble when asked to do that, it's why our run game is so terrible. Hopefully we go back to doing what we're built for next year and he can do well.
