FalconsIn2012
Three years ago, Matt Ryan was beaten to a pulp in an awful 2018 season. He had career high sacks & qb hits which led to a united off-season message from Flowery Branch. Arthur Blank all the way down to Quinn made one promise: Ryan would be protected no matter what. How the professionals making millions could miss the mark by so much is a mystery. We spent lots of FA money and a ton of draft capital to fix the problem. But the fundamental point was missed: without balance, it’s all for not. A one dimensional team gets the quarterback pummeled. Matt Ryan Sacks, Hits & Pressure: • 2018: 42 Sacks, 48 Hits and 21% Pressure • 2019: 48 sacks, 62 Hits and 23% Pressure • 2020: 44 Sacks (on pace), 61 Hits & 24% Pressure Run the football and this all goes away. We are a zone team meant to get our OL in space. We aren’t power maulers, Dork Koetter. My Favorite Koetter Stat: In 5 years with Koetter, the Falcons have accumulated 6,700 rushing yards which is over 2,500 fewer than our opponents. Let that sink in. That’s simply absurd The decision by smart football minds to retain Koetter was a complete failure of Matt Ryan and the Falcons overall. Why they can’t sever the chord is a complete mystery Sidecar Falcon, Norwood all the way!, mtldirtybird and 8 others

THEHEADCOACH
This team constantly picks personnel and start doing one thing, then try to do something totally different than what your players are good at.. never has made sense. THEHEADCOACH
Blank: Matt Ryan will be protected!! TD and Mckay: Hey, I got an idea! Let's bring back that OC we let go that had the long developing plays and struggled to scheme guys open.. then we can see if our new oline pieces are really better! We are paying Matt all that money, we want the ball in his hands as long as possible. Absolute, Herr Doktor and FalconsIn2012

Spts1
Let him down? There is nothing that Dimitroff and Blank did not do for Ryan. Atlanta probably has had the most talent in the league on offense since Ryan was drafted. Went and got Shanahan. Went and got Sark. Brought back Mularkey and Koetter because Ryan was familiar with them. Atlanta has had problems, but looking out for Ryan has not been one of them. red falcon, Malachore and caponine

An aging qb with rapidly declining skills. Don't take it personally, it happens to a ton of QB's. Even some as average as Matt. You can say a lot about Dimitroff, but taking care of Ryan is not a part of that conversation. Atlanta has been loaded on offense for Ryan's entire run with the Falcons. joeyg2033 and caponine
