theProf
Glenn Erby Mon, December 7, 2020, 10:11 AM EST The Philadelphia Eagles are engulfed in controversy and the bad decisions go beyond the quarterback room. Derrick Gunn is reporting that practice squad offensive linemen Jamon Brown was booted from the team hotel and sent back to Philadelphia for conduct detrimental to the team. Gunn is also reporting that Brown is no longer a member of the Eagles organization. Brown was released by the Eagles after a Week 6 performance that saw him surrender two sacks, four QB hits, three hurries, and nine pressures, according to PFF. He was re-signed to the practice squad and had been elevated twice for games as a reserve offensive linemen.

ATLFalcon36
Crazy how these dudes are starters/get paid starter money for the Falcons and can barely make practice squads of a team with as bad of OL troubles as the Eagles... Really puts our O-line into perspective... FalconJim, JDaveG, slick0ne and 1 other

The Falcons signed Jamon Brown in 2019 to a 3-year, $18,750,000 contract, with $12,750,000 guaranteed. Brown only played one season with the Falcons and got cut before the beginning of the 2020 season. Although Brown did not play for the Falcons in 2020, Atlanta still had to pay him $4,750,000 in 2020, the remainder of his guaranteed money, and took a total 2020 cap-hit of $6,583,333 for Brown. Definitely not a great TD signing, but Koetter's greasy fingerprints are all over this one. Brown is definitely meant for a power scheme, not the WC looks we were supposed to be running. God what a confusing philosophy we had going on. Too many cooks.

theProf
Philadelphia Eagles release Jamon Brown for rules violation 2:44 PM ET Tim McManusESPN Staff Writer PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Eagles released offensive lineman Jamon Brown from their practice squad Monday. The move was a result of Brown violating team rules, a source said. According to reporter Derrick Gunn, Brown was thrown out of the team hotel by the Eagles' head of security Saturday for conduct detrimental to the team. The Eagles signed Brown, 27, off the Chicago Bears' practice squad in September. He struggled during his lone start at right guard Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens and was released days later before being signed to the team's practice squad. Brown has started 48 games over his six seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons and Eagles. He was originally a third-round pick of the Rams in 2015. Brown was suspended for two games in 2018 for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

We were desperate AF to be honest. I'm sure even TD knew that was a bad deal for us but we were so bad.
