Osiruz
With Shanny and Carol comparing the guy to Julio, he seems to be having a season for the ages. The guy just piles on yards, is speedy and super athletic just like Julio but with the caveat that he catches and scores alot of TDs something that Julio has been terrible at doing. He is already at 1k yards and 9 tds on the season. IMO if we can find someone similar to him in the next two drafts in rounds 2-4 we should take him, considering that the offense tanks when Julio is out, and how Julio is frequently injured. Tribal Chief
No. Even at this point in Julio’s career Both are very similar in every way. Both are huge in size, explosive, chase down potential pick 6’s and drop occasional passes that should be caught. Metcalf has tons of room to grow though. Maybe 2 years from now. This opinion is based on the tatf standard to place players high in rank based on short term success. Rookie year on par with Julio's rookie year, 2nd season he is actually much better than Julio's second season.

You also forgot to mention Julio also had Roddy and Gonzo his rookie and second season along with a run game that had to be respected. Metcalf only has Russ. Metcalf is expected to put up big numbers So yeah. Maybe 2 years from now. Lethal and AllStarHandyMan 1
DonOfThemBirds
The only thing I can say that Metcalf has on Julio is health and availability. But with similar size and speed, you tend to wonder when Metcalf will start having the same issues.

Seahawks run the ball alot, and having tg and roddy opened up things for Julio which is why he had his best TD season. 2 seasons is also not short term success and it not something that proves he is a one year wonder, he is the best WR in the game right now, and his last season was really good for a Rookie. Look at how everyone thought Odell Beckham was gonna be the next great WR once he came into the league and was sure he would become one of those all-time greats. Now no one thinks of him as such. You think that having a dominant running game and lockett on the other side doesn't open things up for metcalf? One defender always has to spy wilson. One safety always has to play deep for lockett thus the middle is always open for metcalf. Also, tyreek hill just put up 200 yards in a quarter so this best wr in the nfl talk is ridiculous. 1989Fan
There is a reason every up and coming WR is compared to Julio...he is the best. Get out of here w than bullsh it. also, why ask a question just to argue w every response? Maybe you should change your question to a statement if you don’t want answers. kenn.junior
No I believe the younger julio is better then metcalf. That julio was nasty he was unguardable I mean he still is he just gets injured to often but those first few years was crazy to watch julio play Dr Long Shot

Julio is a much better route runner, has better hands, has better body control, and attacks the ball in the air better.
