Just be honest Matt takes bad sacks can’t move we need to move on or at least draft his replacement this year trade up idc

No we can just field mediocre teams with trash OL’s until Ryan retires. Why do you think that narrative is going to magically change in these last few years. Ryan had the worst OL in the league. He does nothing to help them though. The Falcons with the history of trash OL’s they fielded, needs someone that potentially could.

Lol you straight up contradicted your own argument in 3 sentences

We need a new OC.

Matt Ryan looks like he always has against the saints, timid, holds on eternally to the football, and too scared to throw into tight windows. I get it that the routes ran by the wr are terrible, but y

Not today. Matt is holding the ball way too long. He’s been doing it all year.

Haven't watched the Saints/Falcon rival long have you...

It's not that you are trolls. You just don't know what you are talking about. Everyone acts so surprised we haven't dropped 20+ by halftime against one of the top 3 defenses in the league.

Bad teams are bad, and hey.. News flash, this is a bad team.. Fanboy or not, at some time you'll get it

Outdated 4 verts offense leads to this. Saints stacked the line of scrimmage and dared the Falcons to beat them deep. Our receivers got bullied at the line of scrimmage and our offensive line was pushed around all game. Did Ryan miss some throws? Of course he did but Jesus Christ that was a beat down. He is going to be sore tomorrow.

The Saints set the tone early. They pushed us around all game. That’s a good defense over there. Just shows that you can still build a good defense when you spend most of your cap on offense.

I still remember a back up player bullying Matthew’s right into Ryan. For someone as talented as Matthew’s, he is way too inconsistent.

Hurst, Ridley, Gurley, and Julio are all first rounders. Hard to believe no one got open. Terrible coaching, and QB play.

Ryan has a great arm.  He didn't have a great game today.  You can forgive a rough game in anybody.

My chief issue is that when there is NOBODY between the hashes maybe just hustle a little, it won't kill you.  You can slide and if they touch you it's 15 yards for free.  No reason not to GO GAS in a must-win game.  Records or fan love or whatever, Ryan didn't earn his salary today.  But he has been stepping up lately more than previously so there's hope.  What we really need is a new system and a complete overhaul of the staff and a HC with the huevos to bench a player (even a QB) who gives up in the middle of a game.  Maybe if Ryan goes down the (I can't ever beat the Saints) rabbit hole again a few possessions watching a backup play his snaps would motivate him.  When Matty wants to win he's very hard to stop.  He didn't give a crap today.

Arch said the exact same thing about Matt needing to let the ball go and pass into tight windows. He said it repeatedly during the radio broadcast. But hey what does a former NFL QB know.

We swept them in 2016, split in 2017, they swept us in 2018, we split in 2019. What is your stinking point? One day you guys will remember what Matt Ryan accomplished for the Falcons- always barking with stupid commentary and never thankful. He had a bad game because the OL and receivers we’re not open. And No Julio- Matt Ryan never does well without Julio. The vertical game was deeply impacted without Julio. Plus, kudos to the Saints front 4 for causing havoc for the OL. The pocket kept on collapsing and Matt Ryan had less space to maneuver.

“Ryan holds the ball too long”

anyone pause and think that might be due to running a 4 verts offense???

...and you can't just throw the ball away when you are not outside of the tackle-box... and with DK's archaic schemes having everyone covered over and under you don't want to throw a pick...

Arch is a sensible guy, some of the guys here are acting like they were in a kissing booth with Matt. Sure he is a decent Qb, but he's not the guy you can rely on to regularly beat the saints.

Give me a break... what we need is an oline... he gets a nanosecond to throw the ball to recieving corps that have not even had time to shake a defender and run the route.

What you think Matty should do the blocking too.  8 sacks... he got the living daylight beat outta him and your calling him timid?  Get real.  Your lucky hebcould stand up and keep playing.  Matt is not the problem.  The oline that cannot block a tball team is the problem.

And we have a pretty crappy defense... could not cover a reciever if they were duct taped to them.

But as always... y'all call to get rid of Matt.... just stop the nonsense.

Who was he supposed to throw to? He doesn't hold on to the ball just to hold onto it and take sacks. Anyone that thinks Ryan is purposely not throwing the ball has no ******* clue. It's ridiculous the way this place acts. When there's no one to throw to and you can't throw it away because you'll get a penalty you have no choice but to take a sack. Anyone that understands football knows this.

Julio didn't play after the first series of the game and if you watched the other games this year that Julio didn't play in you shouldn't have been surprised that the offense came to a dead stop without him on the field. This offense runs through Julio. Always has. When he's not out there it doesn't work. Ridley only gets the numbers he does because of Julio. Ridley isn't good enough to draw coverage his way and open up other guys the way Julio does when he's on the field.

Need pass protection! Saints are the #2 defense in the NFL behind the colts . You.people that hate Ryan never will know real QBs! When Ryan has time he destroys defenses so yeah get rid of a proven player .. #Get Out Of Here

Where is that article that said those nfl executives and coaches ranked their top quarterbacks and Ryan wasn't ranked high. One defensive coordinator flat out said Ryan doesn't scare anybody and that there are games where nfl people wonder if he is even a nfl quarterback. I bet they know football...

yea ryan had pressure to deal with but they wasnt all jail breaks he had the ball in his hands at least 5 seconds.todays qb buys time on some of those plays.on guy breaks up the middle and we reduced t o curdling up & taking a sack.there is no such thing as always having a perfect pocket in the nfl anymore.

also it look like our receievers werent open or NO was just sitting on all the shourt routes b/c we definitely cant throw down the field or our playbook is just too vanilla.

it still was unacceptable to be outplayed like that by saints backup qb & not score a touchdown.Matt ryan need to be over somebodies boy scout troop not somebodies football team.
