We are 1-5 and every victory cost us a chance at Trevor Lawrence or a top tier ROOKIE QB. No more MORAL victories we had that non-sense for two years. Time to cut bait, re-thread the line with frsh bait and keep rolling. Julio and Ryan are old hat.

Trust me i agree I’m starting to believe we only have a chance at Fields because Jets are just too terrible we can’t compete with their suck but we have to blow it up because we can easily win 4 games and be too far out for even Lance we’d have to trade up which when you’re rebuilding you need all the picks you can get

This makes sense if we are out of the payoff race. We are not. Until that time comes, Blank and whomever else is not trading anyone.

You can speculate that we are out of the race. You can speculate it was just one game vs the 1-4 Vikings but as everyone knows and states all the time, this is a “what have you done for me lately” league. Lately we went out and handled a 1-4 team like a 1-4 team should be handled.

Dont get your hopes up. Your crazy if you think AB isn’t all in for this team turning it around this year.

Difference here being we didn’t offload top ten talent on our roster to acquire him. Context matters

13 years later no ring ... how many guys besides John Elway win their first super bowl this late into their career ? Its not going to happen at this point so you start over if you have a chance to get Lawrence or Fields this year YOU DO IT

Nah, you’re never gonna convince me the right move is to offload top talent in this league when they are still playing at a high level, especially to acquire someone that hasn’t played a down in the NFL. You continue to build up the team through the draft and add pieces so that when the time comes to bring in another QB, they can hit the ground running because we will already have a complete unit around him when he comes in.

The messiah complex on this board is real 😂

Amen.  Drafting the QB then trying to build the team around him is backwards.   A QB’s rookie contract is like a salary cap get-out-of-jail-free card.

Go all in for a QB this year and  we will waste his rookie contract value farting around at 6-10 for three years trying to build the rest of the roster. Worse, by the time everything is finally set its time to pay him, and we’re right back where we started.

Use the next two drafts to build the OL and defense.  Then get the QB and go on a sustained run like Seattle did.  Stretch the window as much as possible.

We essentially do what we did with Ryan but do it better. Give the new QB1 a run game and a defense so he doesn’t have to do it all by himself. People can get so myopic in their thinking and forget this is a TEAM sport.... This isn’t the NBA

That’s the whole point of the draft ppl forget Matt Ryan was once a guy coming out of college who didn’t do **** in the NFL either

LOL... MATTY HAS FANTASTIC STATS... WTH ARE YOU TALKING A OUT!

Matt is a guy putting up great numbers in spite of crappy olines and a defense that could never keep him on the field.  He did more with so little... and he had to do it with coaches that got pink slips....
