jgentry162 109
I think Payton Manning would be a real good coach. He knows offenses a is great at preparing for and reading a defense. Players respect him and he isn't afraid to get in a players face when they are screwing up. I think he would be one coach who could could jump the ladder and become a real good head coach right away. Of course Payton was one of the smartest players in the history of the game so having him on board in whatever capacity would be enormous.
Falcons_Frenzy 3,690
I could see him broadcasting and making more than Tony Romo who makes more than most players, so I'm doubtful he would coach.

Peyton strikes me as more of a President/GM type, like Elway. He has a great mind, but I don't think he's shown a love for coaching outside of aiding his nephew Arch Manning during his high school football games. If we got Payton to be our GM I would be clicking my heels like in Singin' in the Rain. DonOfThemBirds
jgentry162 109
It is obvious with as football smart as he is that he really loves the game. I think he would be much happier coaching than broadcasting. You know he has to miss being involved in football and has to wonder if he would be successful.
Norwood all the way! 768
It's hard to fully accept the idea of having Manning, someone who has not held any kind of pro coaching position, to be our next head coach/GM but on the other hand... It's Peyton freaking Manning. We all know how he is a student of the game. Even if he doesn't publicly say he wants to, I would like it if Arthur at least reaches out
kiwifalcon 19,450
I want a deep thinker to run my football team aligned to a bunch who are good teachers. For the latter I don’t need great ex players I need good teachers and communicators.
Fleurieu falcon 109
Ill take almost anyone who wants to go back to a base package of 3 linebackers . Having two makes it too easy for the quarterback to pick up blitzes.
