CrimsonFalcon
I actually liked the set up we had this season, but if we adopt the expanded playoffs id like to lose maybe 12 games off of the regular season. AUTiger7222

ATLBham
If they're going to expand the playoffs I hope the first round goes to best of 5 instead of best of 3. It's not fair if the best teams get bounced way too early in playoffs due to wild luck in baseball.

I say go to NFL format that was used from 1990-2001. 12 teams from each league. 3 division winners and 3 wild card teams. Wild Card teams are the 3 best records regardless of division. Top 2 seeds get a bye in the WC round. That is a reward for them winning during the regular season. Just like NFL, #1 seed gets the lower remaining seed and the #2 seed gets the higher remaining seed. 3 vs. 6 4 vs. 5 Playoff format WC Round = Best of 5 (No off days - All games at the higher seed's winner's park.) Division Round = Best of 5 (No off days) Championship Round = Best of 7 (Normal schedule) World Series = Best of 7 (Normal schedule) I was a big fan of the no off days during the WC and division rounds but believe we should keep them for the championship series and world series. A while back I came up with a proposal for a 158 game schedule that is extremely balanced. The most balanced schedule in MLB history. Using the Braves as my example and playing the AL East in interleague play here's what I came up with. ATL Fan in the DMV

Two home two away, off day four travel in between.
Unknøwn
White Sox hiring of La Russa not looking so good. He was charged with his second DUI earlier this year in Arizona according to recent court filings. Ken Rosenthal mentioned La Russa also doesn't support any type of protest against racial injustice. The White Sox have a really young team and this is shaping up to be a total disaster. Marcus Stroman already was asked on twitter what it would take for him to play for the Sox and he said "no amount of money". Ownerships stubbornness and refusal to consider anyone else may severely hamper the White Sox resurgence.

K26dp
Don Mattingly, who presided over the biggest COVID-19 outbreak during the season and allowed his team to play the Phillies after knowing that team members had been exposed to the virus without notifying the other team, won the NL Manager of the Year Award. Brian Snitker, who took a team to one game away from beating the eventual world champions that had nearly twice the payroll and who's COVID-19 protocols were above reproach, came in 4th.
