He reportedly had good stuff but was only touching 90-91. Folty will have to re-invent himself to be successful if he has permanently lost his velocity. It can be done, but I doubt he has the mental makeup to do it.
Unknøwn
The safety protocols are pretty much the same as last year. Distance, wear a mask, regular testing, 5 day quarantine before camp opens, dont get close to umpires or be suspended, anyone positive will have to be on the IL for no less than 10 days. Players are banned from going out into places of 10 or more and during spring everyone must quarantine.

Yeah, I posted about this in the Braves thread. For only $2M with a $7M option and a $3M buyout for 2022. Seems like the Braves could have easily done that deal. Oh well. Guess it's clear that AA was told to significantly cut payroll because it's way lower this year than it was last year.
Unknøwn
Ryan Braun said hes staying in shape and ready but has no desire to play. He said he's stayed in touch with the Brewers but has no plans to return at this moment.

I like this trade mostly for the Mets. At worst Lee is a good pinch-runner/defensive replacement. If they unlock his hit tool he could be a regular with power/speed/defense. He definitely had a down year in 2019, but '20 was marred by injuries. Think it could be a sneaky good pickup for them.

Unknøwn
3 years for Melancon. Probably more than the Braves were willing to go on length. Greene is still out there as well.

Unknøwn
After the Turner deal the Dodgers will pay the maximum amount of tax and their first draft pick will be lowered by 10 spots. They can still avoid it by cutting payroll before the season ends but we all know that's not happening.
Unknøwn
Dodgers sign Austin Barnes for $4.3M. They now have a payroll of around $250M for 2021. Nobody else is over $200M. Yankees are the closest to LA at $190M. League is average is $116M for the year. Braves sit at $129M at the moment.

Unknøwn
Kershaw said he won't commit to pitching beyond this season. His contract is up after this year and isn't sure if he wants to continue. He admitted he wasn't really eager to start his offseason program. Kershaw is just 33 but has dealt with a number of back issues.
