Unknøwn
Manfred said he'll head to the negotiating table with Tony Clark at seasons end. He said he does hope to keep the runner on 2B rule, DH and expanded playoffs. He did say he probably would not go as far as 16 but he likes the idea of 14. The #1 seeds would get a first round bye under his plan.
Unknøwn
Angels gearing up to make a run at Didi Gregorius. They're losing Simmons to FA and apparently are ready to move on.
For the A
I do like the expanded playoffs. But giving the #1 seed a bye I don’t like. Take the Dodgers, they could have a bye just about every year since they spend the most in the NL and play in the easiest division in the NL. They might be rested but it's usually the team that get hot and stays hot that wins it. A break like that can completely shut a team down. Unknøwn
Manfred said he may limit shifting in the future. Wants to create more action and eliminate some of that hard luck of a 100 mph rocket up the middle being caught.
For the A
I’m not opposed to that. Guessing the shift limit would not being able to have more than 2 defenders on either side of second base and/or no defender playing in the grass like a shallow LF/RF

As much as I don’t like being on the wrong end of the shift, that’s uh.. strategy you gonna to start chaining players next? Or limiting the number of breaking balls allowed? tl;dr, NashvilleFalcon01, AUTiger7222 and 1 other

Unknøwn
Molina is seeking a 2 year deal with the Cardinals. He has said before he would be open to a new team if he still wanted to play. Wainwright camp is still silent.
For the A
If the Cardinals have a young catcher prospect that would replace Molina. I would re sign him and have that prospect as the back up. So Molina can teach him for 2 years.

I don't believe it. Not with all the other revenue streams that MLB has. They act like fans is the only revenue stream when that's far from truth. This is just another negotiating plot for the upcoming CBA talks.

Unknøwn
Tony La Russa has an offer to manage the White Sox. If he turns it down they're expected to offer AJ Hinch. With the season officially over, Hinch and Cora are now allowed back into the game in any capacity.

Unknøwn
The hiring of La Russa has reportedly caused issues in the FO. Ownership jumped in and made the decision, not the GM or the FO. So theres some unhappy folks in Chicago. Those people reportedly think he won't be able to connect with their young roster.
