I'm all for chaining Mookie to the ground next time we play.

Baseball really needs a salary cap and salary floor.

Marlins hire Kim Ng as GM. She's the first female GM of any pro men's sport. Ng has been in MLB for 30 years as a member of the White Sox, Dodgers and Yankees FO's. She does have 3 World Series rings

He had a MVP type season in 2019. What don't you like about him, defense?

I actually like Bell, but he’s struggled for a good bit after that torrid start to ‘19. That and his defense is pretty abysmal.

Yeah, defense and as ATLBrave said, he was really only great for about six weeks. He's OK, and the Nats didn't give up that much, but I don't think this moves the needle too much for them.

TB definitely got alot back though, needed a catcher and got Mejia.

I think they should have gotten back more. Mejia is a good get and hopefully solves their catcher problems. Catcher has been a black hole for them forever. They've never had a legit answer at catcher. Patino is extremely young, only just turned 21 years old and was the 18th ranked prospect in all of baseball coming into the 2020 season by Baseball America. I don't know anything about the other two pieces. But my whole point was while long-term this looks like another winning move by the Rays, these two guys aren't likely to have a major impact in 2021. It's hard to count on young pitchers like Brent Honeywell coming back from injury and hitting the ground running when Honeywell hasn't ever thrown a single MLB inning. In fact, Honeywell hasn't pitched since 2017 because of injuries. He's about to turn 26 and has yet to ever throw a single MLB inning. I see the Rays taking a major step back in 2021 without Snell and Morton.
