Ghosts of Glanville
3 minutes ago, Ghosts of Glanville said: Justice was the only hitter we ever had that rose to the occasion, so of course they shipped him out of town in 1997 I never bump my own posts, but every time I think about this I rage like Hitler in the bunker. . . We dealt Justice and Grissom for Kenny Lofton, who sucked and couldn’t wait to leave town the next year. At least we had Jermaine Dye to replace Justice‘s power—nope, the next day we dealt him for. . . Michael Tucker, whose skill set was so generic he should have had “PLAYER” across his uniform back. An entire starting outfield dealt for a one year rental and a warm body. So we spend the next three postseasons losing 3-2 while Schuerholz broke his arm patting himself on the back for assembling ‘the greatest rotation ever’, half of which was here when he arrived. Man he was overrated as a GM. The one year we had offensive depth we won it. So of course we let them walk.
