I get tired oof the double standard. I vent my feelings and everyone tells me to go away. Auburn dude does the same and he always gets a pass. Never a thought of banning him for his foul mouth.

I've gotten warnings and time outs. Just because I don't publicize it doesn't mean it goes unnoticed!! @JD dirtybird21 can attest to this.

I think the only way we resign Ozuna is if the DH is staying

"The designated hitter rule is coming to the National League for the first time this year. It will vanish again in 2021 in the NL, with the division and league schedules reverting back to their traditional ways, but beginning in 2022, under a new collective bargaining agreement, the universal DH will be here to stay."

So, can we play Ozuna at 3B for a year and rotate Riley/someone else in LF? Pache CF/Acuna RF?

Sounds like DH might be here in 2022 for good.

I’m 51. I’ve tracked thousands of miles on my Fitbit,  but I am out of shape due to the pandemic. I don’t feel comfortable going to a gym, and this area has too many unmasked people for me to walk outside.

I care man. I want you to be ok. I wasn’t being mean, maybe a bit emotional, but not mean. I’m 47.  I literally took a second job for the exercise...the money is just a bonus.  My wife thinks I’m having a mid life crisis lol.  I’m laughing saying nope...at least I’m not buying a convertible or trying to F the young baby sitter next store. She laughs again  and says “she doesn’t want you” and she’s right  lmao!  Aside  she told me she still wants me though.  I’ll take it.

Nah they do. Freaking a little after the game makes sense but look through this thread. Everytime we gave up a run, left a man on base, walked a guy, etc. Half the board was in the middle of having a nervous breakdown. If you cant find any joy in watching a baseball game unless everything goes exactly like you think it should, I dont see the point

This is me, my wife told me to have a beer to calm my nerves. I have 13 and now I'm sleeping on the couch.

I warned her, so how this my fault? Why am I out here on the pullout? It's her fault, right? RIGHT???

The rumors going around are that they may possibly get the universal DH here a year early. There is honestly 0 need to go back to watching pitchers hit .150.

Duvall wasn't hot thought. He had 3 hits in 20 AB's in the playoffs before getting hurt and had about 10 strikeouts. Yes losing him hurt since the Dodgers have Urias and Kershaw. But he wasn't doing much at the time. Acuna doing absolutely nothing in the series hurts the most.

DuVall is a guy who can change a game with one swing. He slugged .650 against fastballs this year. He was someone I felt was key to this series. Pache performed admirably in replacing him, but we face a team of flame throwers. DuVall would have matched up much better as a run producer.

Riley is the opposite by the way. He slugged .630 against breaking balls but only .350 against fastballs. That’s why he vanished in this series.it was matchup nightmare.

Man, you have Auburn’s NC in 2011 at least.  I am a Braves, Hawks, Falcons & UGA fan.  I got a throw in WS in “95.   That’s it

That was 2010 and I didn't even get to enjoy it. I was homeless twice that year and lived in the dead of winter without any power in a condemned trailer. When I did get the chance to catch a game at someone's house I had to put up with drunk fools that I didn't even know and put up with the whole Scam Newton crap from them because they were all Bammer fans. So yeah, Auburn may have won the championship that year, but there was no joy I could take from it given the circumstances of my personal life.

If no DH next year, he's gotta play LF, but he's pretty atrocious out there, but we need his bat in the lineup and there's not a FA like him or Donaldson that we can sign on a 1-yr prove it deal out there

That’s great. My wife and I have joked that the pandemic has worked out like Old Person’s Blue Lagoon for us. Liking the person you love makes all the difference in the world.

Lesson 1 in life: Always responsible for our own actions.

Lesson 2 with wife: Always responsible for her emotions.

See that's why you are still married. If my ex told me to go sleep on the couch I woulda stayed in the bed and smoked a fattie while listening to music obnoxiously loud all night. Kudos to you for being intelligent enough to do otherwise lmao

Shows how much I know...forgot he and Donaldson weren't the same position. This DH thing has me all out of sorts. Is Riley still worth hoping he becomes a more stable hitter? Take off like Dansby did?

Very good point. Riley not being able to hit the heat is why we should have started Camargo at 3B. Camargo can hit heat.

Riley is still only 23 years old and barely has 500 MLB plate appearances to his name. Way too early to give up on him.
