Let Dirk run his own offense

It's not the offense it's the philosophy. You run, you pass. That's it. What they need to do is adjust when to run and when to pass. This doesn't look that much different than what shanny was doing in 2016. He threw on leads as well.

I disagree. This is completely different.

Not really. What do you do on offense? You run or you pass. If you want to break down into formations or personnel you can but the basic tenets of the game are the same. When to run or when to pass.

By that philosophy ALL offenses are the same. The ONLY similarity I see to Shanahan is a little more play action. This is very much Koetter’s offense. His 4-wide. His routes. His customary 2/1 pass/run ratio.

Play action is still a pass play. When do you run play action? Look at the first drive on Sunday. Play action on play one? 63 yd bomb. Next play run up the middle. Nothing. Next play play action pass that looks exactly like the previous play...TD.

That's how it works. Every team has variations on play action and 4 verts. How you mix them up to disguise and surprise your opponent is how you win.

One can make a case for throwing with the lead, especially when the opponent doesn't expect it. See the TD pass above. But with a lead and averaging 6 up, just run it.

Another thing people aren't talking about is how Matt in the 4th was snapping the ball at the 20 second mark on the play clock and not at the five second or less. Heck the bears were doing it on their last TD drive.

There's a lot wrong with the team but it's all fixable. Are the right people there to fix it is the question.
