So the defense gets 4 TO’s on 4 straight possessions...the two possessions prior we force two punts.  It did it’s job in the first half.

Koetter’s 4 drives in 2nd half:

  1. 9 plays, 26 yards: GARBAGE
  2. 11 plays, 74 yards.  Teat
  3. 10 plays, 30 yards. GARBAGE
  4. 5 plays, 11 yards.  GARBAGE

And where is the outside zone?  You are blinded by DK.  The entire game was fools gold.  I pet saying it in the game thread.  The offense was no good.  The defense created 4 TO’s at least.

I remember you reiterating this because I agreed with you. In fact, I said the same thing. The defense constantly put the offense in great field position and had 4 got **** TOs. . . . that's not counting the three and outs they forced. STs even stopped a fake punt and DAL whiffed on another attempt.

How can this vaunted offense not take advantage better than the consecutive FGs? More is expected of the offense than the defense due to the talent and other factors. At least the defense has the excuse that they lost Takk and a couple other starters early in the game.

Yeah....this is a stupid and mean STUPID argument to fire the guys offense who just put up 39 points....with another 6 that was wide open and dropped.

Blind hatred of a guy is not a good look for anyone and 2012....that is where you are.

It wasn’t a good game offensively.  The offense got 5 short fields because of the defense.  Falcons scored just 23 points off those 5 TO’s.  On the other 7 possessions the offense was crap, managing just 16 points

When the defense did not gift wrap a short field and easy scoring opportunity, the offense managed an awful 20.7 yards per drive.  That is as bad as it gets.  The Jets has footballs worst offense by a bunch last year and they averaged 24 yards per drive

Stop constantly blaming the defense when the offense was no better. . .  and an argument could be made they should have done better against DAL secondary. The defense kept gifting the offense phenomenal field position.

Look at the numbers man. The defense has given up by far the worst passing numbers to opposing teams through 2 games. Have given up over 80 points in 2 games. The defense has definitely been worse

Quinn is worse than Mike Smith! I didn’t think that was possible but here we are. Smith at least ran a good run defense. We can’t even get that consistently out of Quinn on the defensive end. His teams stay getting torched.

how long does it take to see that Quinn and his staff has had too many chances???? I’m sorry but Blank is an idiot if can’t find a reason to fire Quinn tonight .

Waving the white flag, but the offense isn't all that good, especially considering the supposed talent level. FGs after 4 TOs, great field back to back to back field position. The STs spot you great position on a fake punt run attempt and a whiff by DAL. They open last week with a punt and could barely move the ball till toward the end of the game.

They literally scored TDs off TOs too but selective memory I guess or recollection of the facts.

We kick the XP to go up 27-7 and we at least end tied...

We get Julio to catch the TD...it's probably never a contest...

Fall on the onside kick and they never come back...

But yes, the offense didn't do enough...despite scoring off of turnovers and having scoring drives outside of turnover drives.

Dude, after the 3 Dallas fumbles in the 1st Quarter:

45 yards per drive on offense.

Just stop.

Not to mention the opening drive drop by Gage.

The offense has been fine....I’m going to give you some truly disturbing numbers homie....

Our defense is on pace to give up 6,176 passing yards this season, 40 touchdown passes, allowing 80% completion to opposing QB’s, and 39 points allowed per game. 39 bro

You said we only scored FGs off TOs. That's simply not true. 2 TDs off the first two TOs. Could they have done more after? Sure. But they scored every time off of turnovers and including multiple TDs.

If this defense had a backbone AT ALL ...OR the STs unit recovers on the onside kick that was poorly executed BY US...the offense still carries us to the win.

Defense allows 7 yards per play and nearly 600 yards of total offense but we are criticizing the offense for not doing more. It's true, Julio coulda caught that. Hey, maybe we convert a couple more times, etc.

But, no offense is perfect.

EVERY. SINGLE. TEAM. NEEDS. DEFENSE. TO. MAKE. STOPS.

^Especially when it's in the 2nd half and you try to secure the win.

I’m not making those up. Our defense has been embarrassingly bad. Has the offense been perfect? Not at all...but they basically need to be perfect to ensure victory and that’s just not realistic. They aren’t the problem

The defense from 1-7 came back, as Baldy said: "It's just bad football."

Most of us thought we turned a corner. It hurt losing Foye, Takk, and Rico today that's true but c'mon man.

Nobody:

Absolutely Nobody:

No no no... every offense  always score Touchdowns and there are never fg's kicked.....infact DK  is the only OC to ever have FG's kicked...in fact he invented the FG!

id say demote quinn to defenseive coordinator and let koetter take control of this team. even though dont have any faith in koetter either.

Do people forget he had that job last season and we started 1-7 and he was horrible and gave it up. Do people really watch these games. Quinn shouldn't step within 100 miles of Atlanta by court order.
