yno, my first  memory of the falcons was bein about 7, my dad threw his tv out a window, i didnt understand, he obliously lost a bet   , then in 78   , we beat the cowboys in the playoffs, i   was 10   , but lost to the eagles ?   the gritz blitz   defense,     we havent had a number 1 ranked nfl defense 78

Well you got a lot wrong here. We NEVER beat the Cowboys in the playoffs. And we beat the Eagles in 78 prior to losing to Dallas the next week

The Superbowl loss ripped my heart out as a fan and I genuinely never felt so low and devastated over any sporting event outcome in my life. I felt that way for days afterwards and it scared me how depressed I was and for how long.

I vowed to never let a sports team dictate my mood or mental health to that extent again. I still watch the games and support the team but in a sort of 'detached' way.

I'm glad I made that decision as that today was up there as one of the most embarrassing loses in NFL history IMO. Did it affect me like the Superbowl loss? Not even close. Still watched in disbelief though.

I'm not one for knee jerk reactions and hyperbole, but I think Quinn needs to be fired after that. I've never seen a team so unprepared to play with a lead. It's like everyone panics and expects the comeback. That's mainly on coaching IMO.

Im right there with you!

I’m a Saints fan and have been since I can remember.  I’m 60 so it’s been a lot of years of misery.  But I’ve always been a fan.  Thankfully, I never based my fandom on wins and loses.  I always support the home team.  I know you true falcon fans are hurting inside, but keep being a fan.  We take our football seriously in Louisiana and I know y’all do too.  Would I love to rub it in. Well of course, but I’ve matured enough to only do it among Saints fans.  Anyway, i only came here to let y’all know that you should keep your heads up and don’t let us get to you.  Part of being football rivals is the back and forth between fans.  Yes some get very personal, but we both love our cities respectively and our teams.  In this time of isolation and unemployment, seek out other enjoyments when you team loses.  You can still hope for a Saints loss on Monday night, right?

Well above all else y’all have a Blessed week and remember everything is temporary.

I think someone told them to wait on the ball to go 10 yards, if it was one guy...that might be a mistake but all of them...I call BS.

That’s an interesting take! There were 2 maybe 3 guys right there and one of them was waving the others off.

I never played football, granted I have watched a lot, but I know anyone of them could have just fallen on the ball and game over!

I'm amazed that people are still surprised by a Quinn led improbable loss. I'm sure if given time, he'll become the first coach to lose a game in which his QB throws 10 TD passes in a game. Seriously, take a look at some of the crazy stats we have under Quinn.

His first year was so terrible. People forget that. A complete collapse with so many awful management decisions. The superbowl team needed an All Time offense to SQUEAK into the playoffs. Even if we still had the same exact offensive production we would have absolutely NOT made the playoffs the last two years (and counting).

did you know skott lee.. the 78 falcons  still have the best d in nfl history  , by points allowed   .. they even beat the 85  bears

Well one more correction there friend... it was 77 when we had that great D. 129 points allowed in 14 games. And we still only went 7-7

Yeah, in 2015 started 5-0, ended up 8-8

2016 we were just 7-5 with four games left and ran the table due to an offense that hit its stride and a schedule against 4 teams that were piss poor.

And it’s been downhill since then
