Any time I talk about my team, people know us for a lot of passing yards, moderate scoring, gimmicks, and using our defense to pad stats.

What do you mean by using our D to pad stats KOG?

Every one of us can agree we all want W’s.

We all want more points on offense.

And ultimately, I think what you & us are begging for is that shutdown, kick *** defense that makes stops & gets the ball back.

We’d all like to see us playing with a lead & capitalizing on turnovers.

This team needs real leaders, and it starts with the coaching staff. No one holds anyone accountable. It’s all excuses and bs. The offense has some leadership among the players but Koetter needs to take better control. Our defense has legit no one, everyone is quiet starting with Deion. Rico sucks, and you can’t have a leader that just isn’t good skill-wise.

How about not letting QBs get 90% on us

Its passing porn with no result.

The NFL is chock full of teams throughout it's history that underachieved their talent. The folly of building a roster and not a team. The Lions of the 2010's. The Skins at almost any time you pick after the current owner started playing fantasy football with the roster. The San Diego/LA Chargers with Rivers as QB. The Cleveland Browns the last few years and let's not forget the poster team of under achievment..... our next opponent the Cowboys.

I think a great roster has as much to do with wins and losses as a full calendar has to do with whether you're a success or failure in your job. If you can't execute particularly at the critical times, you won't win much. Rosters don't matter if you fumble the snap on a game winning field goal in the playoffs! Tony......you hear me?...... (I love taking jabs at the 'Boys, most overrated team every year in the history of the NFL)

I'm tired of watching this "passing porn", even if it takes purging this 'all star' offensive roster and becoming the new version of the 2000 Ravens, I'm good with it......"Just Win, Baby".

I really miss defense! Too bad Wade Phillips has gotten too old.

Falcons defense will always be trash

The last Falcons defense that was anywhere near being good was Wade Phillips defenses under Dan Reeves. He used to scheme those guys up! I remember thinking they killed Roethlesburger in the dome that year when he just came back from his motorcycle accident. They were lighting up some QB's in those days.

People want this to be way more "this or that" than it really is.  The truth is, defense and offense and ST are all symbiotic.  When one of them breaks down, even for a quarter or even a couple of series, it affects all the rest.  For example, we hear all the time that the defense is on the field all day because of 3 and outs.  But that isn't really what's happening in the Koetter era for starters (we just move the ball all the way to the 20 and then don't score anything).  And besides, Mark Richt once said "there's no rule that says the defense can't go 3 and out too."

The problem is when you expend all that effort on offense and come away with nothing, it's deflating.  When you score and then the other team drives down and scores, it's deflating.  When you get a 3 and out and then your offense scores but your ST gives up a long return or kicks out of bounds for a penalty, it's deflating.  Momentum is a real thing.  Good defenses pick up sloppy offenses, and good offenses cover for sloppy defenses, and good ST ensures sloppy offenses and defenses still have favorable situations from which to work.  Our problem is we don't seem to ever put all that stuff together.  The defense will have a great series and the offense will **** the bed, or vice-versa.

It's symbiotic.  And the failure to do any of those things consistently is a coaching failure.  Period.

There was that one year under Mike Smith I think when they let Beerman roam around and cause some chaos. They played pretty well that one year but Beerman got hurt and Nolan tried to get multiple with the defense the next year and just confused everybody.

It’s a trait of DQ coached teams lack of complimentary football.

If you have a look at the last 3 seasons it’s execution miss use of talent. Its all on show to see here.Outside of 16 DQ has failed to tie this team together.

Your last sentence sums it up well for me.

I hate it because I think it’s a talented roster we have here but they just don’t play like it.No use giving a guy talent when he doesn’t know how to use it.
