I just came across a cool Falcons stat.  The 1995 Falcons were 1 of 5 NFL teams ever to have three 1,000 yard receivers.

So it begs the question: what Falcons team had the best WR unit ever (TE included)

  1. 1995 Falcons: Metcalf, Emanuelle, Hayward & Mathis combined for 291 receptions, 3,628 yards & 24 TD’s
  2. 2012 Falcons: White, Julio, Rodgers & TG combined for 321 receptions, 3,880 yards & 28 TD’s
  3. 2016 Falcons: Julio, Sanu, Freeman  & Gabriel combined for 236 receptions, 3,112 yards & 18 TD’s
  4. 2018 Falcons: Julio, Sanu, Ridley & Hooper combine for 303 receptions, 3,996 yards & 26 TD’s

  • FalconsIn2012 changed the title to Rank Falcons Greatest Receiving Unit

Also love the 92 Falcons group: Rison, Haynes, Pritchard & Hill. 278 catches, 3377 yards, 29 TDS in 92 for that group.

Rison, Haynes & Pritchard had a good run together for a handful of years. Bad Moon Rison was my favorite Falcon, so gotta plug him!

I believe they were the first team to have 3 1000 yard receivers, a 1000 yard rusher and a 4000 yard passer.

Despite that they finished 10th in offense. Stupid run and shoot. Sucked in the red zone. Also the D sucked that year.

I voted 2012 but I think this years could be the best ever. I believe Ridley could have as good or better a career than Julio. If Ridley has a healthy career I think he will be one of the best ever.

That’s a big claim...Julio is Just insane and could very well end up second in NFL history in yards.

I have that feeling as well in a kinda Reggie Wayne, Torry Holt kinda way.  I just hope it will all be with the Falcons.

This was the first group that came to mind for me. That unit was insane. I'd rank it #2 to Roddy, Julio and Tony G.
