CBS - JULIO Not A HOF Lock....Yet

I still believe 2016 was bigger for helping Ryan than Julio as the QB gets both the blame and Credit for success.

Julio is in win or loose as his body of work gets him in.

Maybe I just think if they won this article would have said he's a lock now, and that big catch would have been the talk of the NFL, still time to get it

You *and* Falcanuck both took wayyy too polarized a take there

Mahomes could for sure be a HOFer... Julio will *definitely* be a HOFer unless they find a mass grave in his backyard or some ****, lol

I 100% agree that Mahomes "COULD FOR SURE BE A HOFer", but the odds are in favor of him NOT being one. Especially with only 2 seasons under his belt. This is the NFL!!

He has great talent and landed in the right place at the right time. Now, how long can he stay healthy? How long can they keep quality talent from walking? How long can they keep coaches? How well will other teams adapt to defend against KC? Sooooo many variables that will affect the kid's future, that I can't just blindly say; "Yeah!! Sure fire LOCK HOFer!!"

No doubt!

Like me saying, I think he is already in, instead of saying first or second ballot.

But I know Mahomes isn’t yet. Crap, for the regular season last year, he wasn’t even the top guy, Lamar Jackson was that guy until they lost in the Divisional Round.

Yeah but the voters get real excited over sb winners, and all the talk about kc winning 5 more is a gas

IF(and that’s a big IF) they do then he WILL be a lock.

My whole thing is, I hate it when people speak in hyperbole about guys who just started their careers. It’s like if the guy simply comes back down to earth from a career year now he is a bust!

Can we just let them play out at least MOST of their sports life first before we start fitting them for a gold jacket?

After playing +10 years at the level that he has, being the most feared man at his position and he still isn’t in???

Wow, using your logic that definitely means Mahomes not a lock after ONLY playing three seasons and not having 10,000 yards yet.

Thanks!

I think it's plainly obvious that the only thing keeping Mahomes from the HoF is health

Julio is a HOFer, if he will go first ballot is another discussion considering there only being 5 WRs to have gone first ballot.

Yepper! That’s where winning a ring or not comes in to play for him.

If we hold on in 2016, he would all but be a lock for that. He might still have needed another.

might.(Mostly because he doesn’t play in the NFC Least)

That’s crazy, and I would love to hear the truth from the voters on why that is. I’m sure none of the 5 first ballot WR were ones with any kind of eccentric personality.

edit: I stand corrected, Randy Moss was first ballot. Besides that all folks I would expect the voter demographics to make first ballot (and ones they didn’t)
