Ians0280
Id say he is first ballot.his stats are worthy but in my opinion he gets bonus points because of his attitude or lack thereof.he is a football player. doesn't put himself above his team.never cries for the ball.does his job at an elite level day in and day out.he doesn't need his mouth to promote his brand.lets his play do the talking.with his play + stats he is first ballot all day. I disagree, but that would be a awesome with the deal he got! That won’t happen though so I guess I just need to sit back and watch Tannehill suck or get hurt again after TEN paid him way too much. That said, a bust has never and will never put together a season like he did, not even once.
1989Fan
Julio could tweet he is done today, and in 5 years he is in the HOF. I would bet the farm on that. AUTiger7222, FalconsIn2012, Drew4719 and 2 others

k-train
3 hours ago, FalconsIn2012 said: Is Julio Jones a 'lock' to make the Hall of Fame? Julio Jones has already established himself as the best wide receiver in Falcons history, and he's been among the top players in the NFL for the past decade. The only true question left regarding his career is whether or not he will end up enshrined in Canton. CBSSports.com writer Bryan DeArdo recently ran through each NFL team and listed the player on their roster most likely to make it to the Hall of Fame. His pick for the Falcons was Jones, although he did mention that quarterback Matt Ryan is building a good case as well. Despite all that accomplished, however, DeArdo does not yet list Jones as a "lock" for the Hall of Fame, but he says he's close. "The Falcons actually have two players who are on the Hall of Fame 'bubble,'" DeArdo writes. "While Jones is closing in on a Hall of Fame career, the same can be said of quarterback Matt Ryan, a former league MVP who is 10th all-time in career passing yards. But the nod here went to Jones, a seven-time Pro Bowler who has led the league in receiving on two separate occasions. But as good as Jones has been, he will likely need a few more prolific seasons to be considered a Hall of Fame 'lock,' as he is currently 25th in career receiving yards." Both Jones and Ryan could well end up in the Hall of Fame with a few more seasons at the pace they are on, but they are already undoubtedly two of the greatest players to ever suit up for Atlanta. To see the rest of DeArdo's list of possible Hall of Famers, click here. I mean, they don't even need to be prolific seasons, just serviceable by comparison to what he's done lately. Sure, he's 25th in career receiving yards at the moment. But if he plays even just 3 more seasons and can get 3300 yards over that span (1100 yards per season), that would give him 15,425 yards... which is 4th place all-time & more than Randy Moss, Isaac Bruce, Tony Gonzalez, Tim Brown, Steve Smith, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, Cris Carter, and all but 3 players to ever play in the NFL. 1100 yards per year seems very attainable for Julio. Considering how well he takes care of himself, if he's willing & able to play until he's 36-38, I think he's got a good shot at passing Fitzgerald for 2nd all-time. Unfortunately, missing most of the season in 2013 after he was on such a terrific start... and potentially missing several or all the games if this season gets cut short due to the pandemic... will keep him from catching Rice's record. But Julio's still got a chance to get close if everything aligns just right. Drew4719, FalconsIn2012, RING OF HONOR and 1 other 3

Has there ever been a QB or player with all of those achievements that has never made the HOF? All Mahomes needs is more seasons to build on his stats because he's so young. One more Season MVP or SB win would secure him 100% even if his career was to be cut short somehow like what happened to Terrell Davis. 6 hours ago, Boise Falcon Fan said: #HotTake You could definitely be correct, but this is the type of statement that just screams attention... AUTiger7222
I had someone on Twitter try to tell me that if Julio Jones was on a bad team with a bad QB he'd be like Andre Johnson. When I asked him to explain he said that Andre Johnson is a questionable HOF player because he suffered from years of bad QB play and had he been paired with a good QB he'd be a HOF lock. I don't know where he is questioning Johnson being a HOF lock but I look at his numbers and they scream HOF lock to me. Johnson is 11th all-time in receptions and receiving yards. Yeah his TD's are down a bit from what they should be but the catches and yards make him a lock in my book. Julio is a lock. If he doesn't play another NFL game Julio walks into the HOF. The benchmark for WR's is going up and up. Only 4 players in NFL history have more 100 yard receiving games than Julio does but Julio has the highest percentage of 100 yard games. Just one of the many stats in NFL's favor to make the HOF.

Right now he's nearly a 100 TD's short of TO's career mark and he took 3 years to get in. It only took Terrell Owens 3 years to make it in because the writers have an axe to grind with him. Same reason Barry Bonds isn't in the HOF. If Barry had been a nice guy to the media he'd be in the baseball HOF right now despite the steriod stuff. Andruw Jones is far more deserving than Murph. Dale Murphy was one of the top 5 best players in the entire NL in the 1980s. You're grossly underselling what he did on the field. You don't win back-to-back league MVP's by being "only very good." 1989Fan

Look at Dan Marino. Marino in his first 3 full seasons (1984-86) had TD pass totals of 48, 30, and 44 and then only once the rest of his career did he even reach the 30 TD mark and that was 1994 when he reached exactly 30. He went from averaging 40.7 TD passes per season to averaging only 21.4 TD passes per season. I'm not saying Maholmes production is gonna plummet but it wouldn't be the first time it's happened to a player. Andy Reid also isn't gonna coach forever. The Chiefs aren't always gonna have a loaded roster.
