I sympathize. My doctor's sure my wife has had it, but she's only had an antibody test, which was negative. Her lungs have been in bad shape for several months now, but medical officials are paralyzed with indecision about the best treatments.

I sincerely hope that you and your wife feel better and aren't actually positive.

Thanks for the kind words. I passed out a week ago much like DL Hugely. Zero alcohol involved lol but my wife witnessed it and said it was scary. Shortness of breath for the both of us. Thing is, we were both very sick in February for about 3 weeks. We got tested for the flu. Came back negative of course testing for COVID wasn’t really happening or available then.  Since then, symptoms come and go. Even if we test negative tomorrow what if we had it early this year, and if so what are the long term affects? No one knows.

That's almost verbatim what I told my wife. My head is spinning at this.

After pro-rating, Kakes would "only" earn 1.32M this season before taxes and the MLB loan payback. Even as competitive as he is, there has to be a risk/reward calculation involved.

He's already made over $100 million in his career. At 35, if he got sick, it could haunt him for the rest of his life. This is the decision I mentioned back in March or April about Juan Soto, only in reverse. Soto shouldn't play since it could cost him a quarter-billion contract. Markakis has already made his money and doesn't need to play. He risks the health of his wife and son if he does.

I think that's the calculus that some players had pushed back until it became real. In a lot of ways, that mirrors America's perception of Coronavirus. I've seen so many comments of, "Do you even know anyone who has had this." The people that do live in fear of it. The ones who don't pretend like it's the flu.

Hearing Freeman sound like he was deathly ill has probably gotten to a lot of Baves. I can't imagine what the clubhouse is like right now.

With each passing day I become more and more doubtful that they'll actually play a season. MLB's lab is failing, players are infected and other players are saying it's not worth it. What good is a 2020 season if you're running out AAAA players and role players because everyone is infected or just opting out.

Exactly. Just not worth it. Just cancel it and try again next year with hopes of there being a vaccine by that time.

Ken Rosenthal reported the Braves are discussing ditching the foam tomahawk and the chop. They may also rebrand the Chop House. Leaders of Native American Tribes have said they've been encouraged by their dialogue with the organization.

I hate the idea of getting rid of the tomahawk and the chop but I can live with it, especially if the new uniforms are a throwback to the old Milwaukee Braves era uniforms. Those were extremely sweet. The Braves name is the dealbreaker for me. If they change the name I'm done!

Duvall smoked a 2 run HR off Tomlin for the highlight today so far.

Snitker did say they have no plans to play an exhibition game before the 24th. Cited the difficulty of traveling. Team has no desire to fly somewhere just to play one exhibition.
