Jake Fromm: “Elite White People”

Recommended Posts

I mean, WTH is this guy thinking when he says only “elite white people” should be allowed to buy guns...

“In a text referring to guns, Fromm said "just make them very expensive so only elite white people can get them haha."

The texts were released as protests over racial bias in the US and the death of George Floyd in police custody reached their tenth day in cities across the nation.

Funny how the girl sat on that text for over a year before ‘outrage’ set in..  Someone had an axe to grind.

I mean, he says "ha ha" at the end. It was a joke. A dumb joke sure, but I'm sure everyone of us have put our foot in our mouths at some point before also. In context, as in the conversation at the time, I bet no one involved was thinking it was racist. They were being idiots. Was it bad? Sure, but I'm really not sure why we're crucifying him over a dumb joke. If something comes out to show it was more than that, let me know, but until then, everyone of us have made dumb jokes that would seem really bad if posted online, especially right now.

It may have been a joke, but it was a bad one. Racial things honestly aren’t that funny and Fromm is an idiot for making the “joke.”

But I also think it’s pretty clear this girl didn’t really care about bringing racial insensitivity to light. This was pretty clearly a way for her to get back at Fromm. Doesn’t excuse Fromm one bit, but she isn’t really clean herself

Oh yeah, it was dumb sure, but I haven't seen any evidence here that this is common from him or that he hates people of other races.

He's a kid and he said something dumb. Everyone's said something stupid before that could get them in hot water if posted online, especially when they were young.

My thing is, there are actual people who have shown they're more than just a kid that said something stupid once. That's where the focus should be. He was idiot, OK, move on.

We live in a social media “gotcha” society today.  It’s disgusting but it’s reality.

Nah.

Malik Herring didn’t think it was racist, or that Fromm is a racist.  Was it in poor taste? Absolutely.  But to think that you have to now censor yourself, while joking in a text, is just sad...but It’s the world we live in now.

He’s a kid when it comes time to fit your narrative, in this case what is racist, but he’s an adult when you want to argue that he should get paid by the NCAA.  Quit straddling the fence.

I would say Malik is qualified to speak on whether or not Fromm is a racist, and what he, Malik Herring, constitutes as racism.  And last I checked, Macknsweetjones doesn’t speak for all black people, either, do ya?

All kids have said dumb things for sure. I don't think you should hold one thing over someone's head for all of eternity because people do change. I'm willing to accept that Fromm could change.

But man... that really was dumb to say lol. I can totally understand why people would be mad about it. I'm a white guy, so I don't feel comfortable telling people how they should feel about racially charged jokes because I haven't ever really had to deal with anything like that.

if Malik was a full grown man he would still be a bootlicking idiot.

It don’t matter what you say or what you think about any black person thoughts on this cause guess what bub?  You’re not black.

Oh yeah, Fromm was a dumb*** and he put his foot in his mouth. I've said that. I just don't think it should be treated as anything other than that.

There's a lot of people out there who are really crucifying him over this, and I just think there's waaaay bigger issues right now than some dumb*** kid putting his foot in his mouth.
