I don't think he will "go down," I just think he will be what he is: a dude with an arthritic knee. He'll do some good work, but he's not going to be 2016 Gurley ever again. If he's 1a, there must be a 1b for the running game to go.

You guys apparently do not have arthritis.  When the cartilage in the joint is damaged, it causes inflammation.  If you have this,  anti-inflammatories such garlic, ginger, and turmeric will help.  If you are a professional athlete, a shot of cortizone in the joint probably gets you game ready. 

While it is not a good thing that Gurley has arthritis at a young age, it may not impact his ability to play.  Post football, he will probably need an artificial knee to walk normally and without pain.  But, this happens to a lot of us.
