FalconsIn2012
With Tru finally coming off the books we now have 11.5 million remaining CAP space to put the finishing touches on what could be another spectacular offseason by Dimitroff, Quinn & Co. We have a defense that finished the final 9 weeks as a top 8 defensive unit. Sacks are great, but so long as Morris & Ulbrich can maintain their clever 3rd down packages we should be a very sound defensive unit. Can Fowler replace the much maligned Beasley? I sure hope so and think he can be a better overall player even if he doesn’t get us 10 sacks. Can Terrell replace Tru? Tough ask. Perhaps in a year or two, but his rookie year will be up and down as it is for most rookie boundary corners. I do think Marlon steps on and contributes at a high level day one. Quinn will have fun with a unit of Fowler, Davidson, Grady, Takk, Cominsky, Davison & the mystery man, Senat So the question remains: how would you like to see TD, Quinn & Co use the remaining 12 mill to put together a SB caliber roster? I don’t think we are as far off as most think. For me, I’d love to add a veteran corner, LB and/or DT. If we could add Griffen & Dennard I would be ecstatic. It would have to be multiple year contracts so year 1 CAP hit would be minimal, but it is certainly doable. I’d even take a 1 year flyer on Rashad Jones if he is reasonable with his asking price. Regardless, we are in really good shape and I can’t wait to see what direction we go. So begins the Falcons 2020 Redemption Tour!! Buckle up, it should be a good one PokerSteve

I’ve been critical as anyone else. But TD puts together a SB caliber roster every 3 years on average. Francis York Morgan
My vote is for Curry, Tony Jefferson, and Tramon Williams. Ogletree would be nice too if he's inexpensive. FalconsIn2012, Mister pudding and PokerSteve

Depending on his asking price he could be a nice 3rd edge rusher. Considering Takk’s injury history it’s a solid insurance plan. I wonder if he is asking a lot considering he had his best year since 2014 in just under 400 snaps. For 5 mill I’d be thrilled to add a veteran piece PokerSteve
kiwifalcon
If I’m honest I’d like to see more of our draft picks take the next step in there development cycle than adding a name in FA. For me it’s more relevant than getting a FA with the remainder of cash we do have. We are a build through the draft first team.C’mon players coaches show me the Money. Great teams have a healthy balance of veterans and players on rookie contracts. The vets are huge Wed-Friday getting the team prepared. Guys like Freeney, Malloy, Cornelius Bennett, Poe etc have impact not seen in the box score. Our 2020 roster is still incredibly young, especially at CB & LB PokerSteve and quickzero

1989Fan
Schaub has a $2MM salary and $2.375M cap hit. Not sure why people think he is paid so handsomely, he isn’t paid a ton for a QB2 TBH. Sportsman2593, Atl Falcon and FalconsIn2012

Yep...and when asked to step in for 5 quarters last year all he did was: • 50-67 (74%) for 580 yards with 3 TD’s & 1 INT If Ryan goes down for a month, Schaub can help us win a few games and stay in playoff hunt kiwifalcon, Atl Falcon and 1989Fan
