Urban Dictionary refers to that as the “Leon Troutsky”.

I also suspect that Trump says things like 'we asked to slow the testing down' when they did no such thing, and no such thing was ever communicated through any official channel. How anyone could

Word of mouth from a direct source is way better than Fox, CNN, NBC or any other mainstream media. I’ve heard a few other hear it from friends/relatives as well

That's why you want to go with local media that can go directly to the people that have been impacted.

Mainstream national media is mainly second-hand reporting but the local media that's where you get the really scary news.

Back in March if you lived in Texas, Arizona, or Florida who cares what was happening in Seattle and New York, right?  That was their problem and probably waaay overblown because it's BS.

At least that's the mindset. When you start hearing the numbers are jumping through the roof, ICU beds are running out, and more people are dying... in your area....from your local TV and radio broadcasts... that's when **** gets real and people get scared.

Local news.  Take the economy... it's still ****** and going to get worse. Take my area for example. Due to the tech companies we're better off than most but there is still a lot of pain coming.

Starr County, Texas. So overwhelmed with covid patients that at triage they determine how bad a patient is and if they are too bad off they are turned away and told to spend their last moments alive with family. No room for you unless they think you are treatable. :o

Even local news now touches on local stuff briefly before going into national news. They are all owned by Sinclair Media Group and every news reports the same stories verbatim

Not really. Sinclair is the largest owner but there is a cap to how many stations they can own.

King5 for example is owned by Tegna.

The Seattle times is privately owned but that is not common these days.

Barron Trump's school will not reopen due to the virus as Trump orders schools to reopen or lose Federal funding.

All children should be protected from the virus not just rich kids.  Just telling it like it is. Remember this in Nov.

You do know Barron goes to a private school?  Those schools can do as they choose. Parents will still have the opportunity to keep their children at home and distance learn if they so choose.  Unfortunately, as in real life, many parents have to send their kids back to schools (as safely as possible) because parents need to provide for their kids or that will be devastating.

I understand that point Trump still should not be threatening to withhold Federal funds if they don't open. Just about everything else open in the country is very minimal.
