Been in Panama City all week, everyone is enjoying their life. Living it like they should. Athletes are no different. The masks and gloves are the new tinfoil hat If you don't fit the risk perameters then it's not about you. It could be because of you however. Wearing a mask is about stopping you from contaminating the space that those of us that are at risk will occupy. Even the most rudimentary mask will reduce particulates spewed by you by up to 75%. You have no way of knowing with this virus if you have it or have had it unless you are currently sick and I suspect even then unless they were bedridden many would still go out and infect the rest of us without thought. You may be frustrated with being locked down and I use that term loosely. Most places haven't restricted your movement they've just closed the businesses and public space you used to go to. Some of us are locked down (quarantined) indefinitely even if it all opens up (which it should). The fact that you say that there were hardly any masks to be seen in PC and you think that's a badge of honor shows a total lack of concern for anyone but yourself. If people don't act responsibly until this thing can be further studied and controlled, another big spike may occur and it will likely happen in the fall and you can kiss football goodbye, not that that is really very important anyway. Please excuse me for quoting myself but I would like to add one thing to the above statement. Many of the people who minimize this virus are also the ones who believe it was engineered in a lab. (I believe it was engineered but possibly not weaponized). Do you think they would engineer this virus to just give you a cold? Like some kind of high school prank? There has always been a half dozen barriers viruses have to leap in order to become infectious on a pandemic level. Ebola hasn't done it. No Coronas including Mers and Sars1 have done it. This virus seems to leap them all. The biggest of which is asymptomatic spread. If you want to engineer a virus to infect the most possible people you want 1. Asymptomatic spread. and 2. Low immediate fatality or disability rate. High disability and fatality rates put people out of commission and they quit spreading the virus. This is why ebola is not pandemic worthy. I don't pretend to know this is what we're dealing with but please don't pretend to know we're not because you don't. You remember the Columbia space shuttle accident? Remember seeing those astronauts playing and having a good time spinning in the microgravity and giving school lessons to the kids on earth, all the while having no idea that a huge hole existed in their heat shield and they could never return home. Hopefully that's not us but until or unless the Chinese come clean, all possibilities are on the table. As with most things the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle of nothing to worry about and population killer but if you believe this is engineered and you don't take necessary precautions to limit spread, what kind of hipocrit are you? As far as all the city, county, state and national health rules and regs which the teams will have to navigate through. I'm sure it will be a huge headache, but with the kind of money we're talking about, it will all get figured out and implemented and approved in time for the season to start. The obvious snag is that not all states/cities are opening up at the same time and at the same speed. If you have a few Blue states/cities that are still hunkered down determined not to open up until the economy has completely crashed, that could be a problem which would directly affect those teams from those areas and make the process unfair in terms of equal time to prep for the season. We'll just have to wait and see on that, but everything else is going to be fine. Hopefully there won't be a fall spike bad enough for local authorities to take action but there is a high probability of it at this point and one other factor is concerning. Even the best test they have right now has up to a 40% false negative rate which is why they want you to test negative three times after a positive before you can be released from quarantine. Hopefully those tests will be much more accurate by then because if there is a spike and the tests can't be trusted, there will be plenty of local and state governments that will just shut down again especially in blue states. If you are a player with limited contact to family, teammates, coaching staff, faculty and refs, maybe a few camera guys for like 4 - 5 months....you can make millions. Just gotta refrain from the bars and strip clubs. And we all get football. I think it'll happen 100%.

They accomplished that, now open it up. The government is not here to make sure you don't get Covid. They're only here to provide services paid for by the tax dollars of the citizens. Once those services are protected, let the citizens take responsibility for themselves. The only problem I have, seeing as my wife has cancer and I'm in the older age group, we have to stay locked down indefinitely but sometimes we do have to go out and you Covid deniers who think it's all about you and your situation are slinging Covid arrows all over the place because you're not wearing a mask. The experts don't know 10% about this virus yet somehow you do? Think about someone else for a change and wear a mask. Maybe somehow It'll make you feel better for doing your civic duty. Now open it all up and set my people free. Maybe one day I can join you. Very sorry your wife’s been sick, I’m sure all this craziness has made it doubly hard on both of you. Hang in there, my man. papachaz, PokerSteve and slider

Hang in there, my man. Thanks Vandy. The problem for all Cancer patients under treatment is even if a vaccine is produced, they can't give it to them because of the immune boosting or suppressing drugs that are given depending on the type treatment. One hour and one day at a time is how we have to take it. Care givers of cancer patients are in a bit of a quandary. We have to figure out a way to be able to get out in public enough to do the things we have to do and not bring anything home. I've tried to learn everything there is to know about this virus so i didn't kill my wife with my ignorance. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Now enough if this let's talk some football. biloxifalcon, PokerSteve, Vandy and 1 other
