Am I remembering incorrectly or did we not tell Zach Evans to kick rocks.  I thought we accepted his LOI but didn’t turn it in because he had to reach a few goals.  Then he apologized at the UA game.  I have an LSU fan on the Rant saying Evans begged out of his LOI.

LSU fans on the rant are only there to be laughed at, not taken seriously.

What's the story on Barrett Carter? How did he go from 100% Georgia to 100% Clemson during COVID-19?

No inside info here, but it seems the fact that his teammate is committed there may be an important part of his reasoning

Why are you shocked?

Because all he has ever talked about is Mississippi State. He wears the gear and that’s where everyone just assumed he would go because both his parents went there.  He might have felt like that because of his parents. But obviously his feelings have changed

Hopefully the horse is in the barn for Chambliss. He has a nasty edge rush, lots of ability to work around or through blockers, can drop into coverage, and he plays mean. I'd like him a lot as a SAM.

Chaz best game was against Rome imo. He wasn’t 100% against Buford but still had good game. But that Rome game he looked like the best LB in the nation

Georgia out to massive Crystal Ball lead for 5-star Smael Mondon

ByJAKE ROWE 5 hours ago

The coronavirus shutdown has seen Georgia land four commitments and begin trending for several other top targets based on the 247Sports Crystal Ball. It's not safe to say that the Bulldogs are in a strong position for Paulding County (Dallas, Ga.) linebacker Smael Mondon.

The 6-foot-3 220-pound five-star prospect has eight Crystal Ball predictions and all of them are for UGA. Six of those eight predictions have come in the past two months.

Mondon is ranked as the nation's No. 26 overall prospect and No. 2 outside linebacker according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. He's the No. 3 player in Georgia per those rankings.

When you look at the 247Sports rankings on their own without taking into account the two other outlets, Mondon is a little higher. He's No. 19 overall, No. 3 at outside linebacker, and No. 2 in Georgia.

Possesses outstanding length for a linebacker. Has some muscle mass without bad weight. Should fill out significantly once he gets in a college strength and conditioning program. Shows his athletic ability playing all over the field for his high school team as a ball carrier on offense and linebacker on defense. Has the speed to outrun defenses for long scores. Has a long stride in the open field and runs very well. Capable of making game-changing plays in all three phases. Athleticism transfers over to defense where he shows high level range in playing sideline-to-sideline and running down plays in pursuit. Looks to be a natural mover in space and makes some plays while dropping into coverage. Will need to continue progressing as a read and react run defender. Projects as a multi-year starter at the Power 5 level with the upside of developing into an early round NFL Draft selection. -- Charles Power

The 247Sports player comparison for Mondon is Dallas Cowboys' linebacker Jaylon Smith, who played his college ball at Notre Dame. Mondon holds over three dozen offers and recently posted "sooner than later" on Twitter, indicating that he's close to a decision.

He's a two-way athlete at Paulding County, also competing in the 100m, 200m, long jump and triple jump for the track team. He's also a two-way player on the gridiron, playing running back and linebacker.

Mondon likely projects as an inside linebacker in Georgia's defensive scheme and that's a large need for the Bulldogs in this class. UGA came into the cycle needing a significant haul at defensive end, outside linebacker, and inside linebacker. It already has commitments at defensive end and outside linebacker but none thus far on the inside linebacker, a position where it didn't sign anyone in the 2020 class.

The Bulldogs currently rank No. 17 nationally in the 247Sports Composite Team rankings. They have the fewest commitments of any team inside the top 20. UGA ranks third behind Ohio State and Clemson in average rating per commitment at 94.49.

saw that.    really the best UGA could hope for - doesn't help the Gators nor the Vols.....stayed away from Texas A&M, Ole Miss and LSU as well.   TCU is a wasteland and Dawgs won't ever cross paths w/ Zach Evans again unless he leaves TCU - other than maybe in a bowl game the Dawgs want no part of.
