Raiders were linked to AJ Terrell.

anyone commenting to the negative better say they've always hated Mayock and he never knew what he was talking about or, admit that maybe they don't know as much as they think...

When he was with NFL network, he had the highest rated big board of the top 40 viewed ones in a five years span to players who received second contracts with teams.  Dude knows his stuff when evaluating players, just think he is a bit old school, as is Gruden.  Again, he evaluates players well, just seems a bit behind the times on position value.

For those chicken littles crying about reaching for Terell, Raiders had him high on the board. Daniel Jeremiah at NFL.com talked about it and he had Raiders picking him up at 19.

After Kinlaw, Brown, Simmons and Henderson were gone. Its a good pick, unless you are throwing tantrums that TD didn’t select your favorite player.  He is a good football player but raw. I trust him more than Oliver even in his rookie season. Falcons have good depth at CB.

AJ was considered third best CB after Okudah and Henderson by analysts and some teams according to Daniel Jeremiah.

If the Raiders really wanted him so bad, they would have took him at 12 instead of Ruggs. He obviously wasn’t that important

The Raiders took Damon Arnette at 19. If we think Terrell was a stretch at 16 their fans must really be scratching their heads over the 19th pick.

Yeah when people say Terrell was a reach it makes me think how much differently the teams look at talent vs the talking heads. It also makes me think how brain washed fans are when they speak. As above I think there evaluations are miles away from the teams with regards to talent.

The more I think about it, after watching all the safeties slip to round 2...I get it. As long as they grab one. They figured out where the value was, but if they think Allen/Kazee/Neal is gonna cut it in this division, they're out of their minds. Come away with two of:

Delpit/McKinney/Winfield/Chinn/Duggar

and

Gay/Uche/Harrison/Wilson

And I'll be happy.

That has nothing to do with evaluating players for draft or draft boards. It’s not just Mayock, this kid was in top 3-4 CB on people who actually know more than arm chair GMs here.

Tells you s lot about the talent that was available at CB.  The kid might work out he might not but at sixteen it was not the best pick.  Not gonna win TD and Quinn any kudos... unless your huggin their knees.  I can't wait until tomorrow if AJ was the best player left and we got him... at 16.   lol that means we might as well pack in now by your thinking. Cause there was no one better left on the board.  Might as well draft the hot dog and peanut guy.  I hear he tosses a mean bag of nuts.

Lol. Every one knew there was gonna a run on WR with Denver needing one too. Raiders number one need was WR. And if like dumb arm chair GMs didn’t pick Terrell, Mike Mayock would have loved to.

I would like a safety but I want them to go BPA in round two. Now that doesn’t mean go pick a QB or WR. But any position of defense or even a Center.

Yeah I take it back. We’re lucky he didn’t go top 5, **** top 3. We got a steal :)

Yep. The real GMs and HC valued him over the YouTube scouts.  I had him higher than Diggs, Johnson.

I grade value every year.  On of the biggest reaches and biggest steals every year are always corners.  Media has to grade them more than any other position in a vacuum, every team will rate them different because of scheme, some may not even have Terrell on their board because he wouldn’t fit their scheme, we may not have another round one guy on ours for the same reason.
